It's all about opinion mate, and unfortunately, the game is all about money. Mancini came and won us the cup. He said he'd take that 35 years banner down at Old Toilet and he did. He won us the league. Red half of Manchester constantly remind us we'll never. Even as big and successful as them. Tbh. Most blues I know aren't bothered about them, they have their istry, we have the future to look forward to. Anything we win is a bonus to most City fans who were there before the money came.

I'm not a jealous guy(as Bryan Ferry once sang) but many people are unfortunately.
My impression was that mankini came into city and played essentially all out attack football that blew everyone away that season you won the league. Very much like ranieri playing counter football to win his title. From an outside perspective it seems mankini didn't necessarily do a great job other than do one tactic no-one could deal with that season, and the following year was found out and struggled as a result.

Think he struggled because he signed players like Rodwell when United went out and bought (at the time) the best striker in the League.

There's clearly been a briefing from EFC to journo's about Simeone. I think there's three ways to look at it.

1) If it really is possible in summer we should move heaven and earth to make sure it does
2) It's a name to throw out there to soften the impending arrival of the corrupt Jabba until summer
3) Farhad is completely delusional.

Too many separate sources jumped on it at around the same time, so yeah been a briefing or email to them about it

1. Not a chance in hell if he was available at least some big clubs dont go for him and certainly cant imagine a world he comes to at best the7th place English team
2. Not like Everton to leak utter nonsense alluding to a big signing for it to mask a travesty is it... Oh Wait...
3. Looming more and more likely isn't it

All of that doesn't really make Mancini a great candidate though does it, his premiership success was achieved with a huge budget at a plastic oil club. He likely wouldnt be a great fit for most other clubs in the league. And much of his popularitu there seems to be cos 'he got the club', rather than football reasons.

Out of thin air mate. Like Simeone to Everton. I'd like to think Moshiri still has some fire in his engine, but I don't see it to the extent Simeone takes us on.

I agree with that. Any serious negotiations would indicate a situation that is far more complex (and better) than it looks.

I suspect this is a front operation to ease the Allardyce news.

I agree, had we bought Van Perdue, we'd of probably won't the league. I'm not saying that Mancini was perfect, but he will always be respected from most City supporters.
