Harvey who finished 6th!

That was his last season mate, we finished 4th his first season, which given we had won the league the year before was a massive decline - was it 20 points off the rs we finished that season, second season we fell apart basically and came 'i think' 8th and then 6th

we went from 90, 86, 86 points the prior three seasons to getting 70, 54 and 59 points (even counting those seasons had i think 4/2 games less possibly) it was still a fall which makes Uniteds one after Fergie look tame in compassion.

Harvey was a brilliant coach - but a terrible manager sadly

Thats the worry about going for Unsworth, he's proven as a coach and a manager of kids, not having to handle a tenth of what a current manager would have to handle on a day to day basis, ego's, agents, the press and a multitude of things which have become part and parcel of management these days.

The hope is he goes and proves himself with a team at the top of the championship/below us in the league and then once he's done that he is then ready to step up

we have been here before - Mike walker walter Smith davy moyes doing well at Preston = not one trophy- as I stated Gordon lee came closest!

I hope Carlos doesn't see this, I think it's a bit mean to get his hopes up like that

Harvey first big mistake was not to bring in a couple of players to improve the squad in his first season but it decided that we had enough quality in the squad.

Brought in McCall and Wilson form memory, McCall was pretty decent money at the time like.

But yeah, we needed to replace a few who'd kind of started either hitting the wall or started to become badly injury prone and didn't.

Blackburn suffered the same problem after winning the league as well tbf

Should Benitez be considered?

One thing is for sure, for those who think Moshiri has done nothing for us, he certainly would make the fans fully aware that all wasn't well.

On pure managerial ability - yes, but not a chance in hell given his past with that lot mate

Maybe but it totally disagrees with your view- if RK flops in the next four games with dire football - wrong formations etc then Unsworth Royle till January at least till we get the right man if they do well leave them in!
relegation beckons then.....You seriously believe we are going for ANOTHER manager in Jan if the Royle/unsworth combination goes wrong??
