Brought in McCall and Wilson form memory, McCall was pretty decent money at the time like.

But yeah, we needed to replace a few who'd kind of started either hitting the wall or started to become badly injury prone and didn't.

Blackburn suffered the same problem after winning the league as well tbf
Boo Boo McCall was a year later you are right about Wilson though who was a massive drop in quality

Welcome to the team fellas.

He is beautiful.

i think i called for him at the start of the year, after he started impressing with Hull and there was an article in the Guardian basically detailing how his career path was more to do with club failings than his lack of talent. suggesting he was a diamond that hadnt had the chance to shine yet.

he is shining now.

hopefully we can get him in before the game tomorrow.

Watford and Silva out performing us by miles with arguably worse players! They look balanced motivated and play with tempo something we haven't done this season.
But it's a lack of proper pre-season that's to blame, nobody told Ronnie we were in the EL.

So...he had absolutely nothing to do with Hull being relegated then?

The form away from home with Hull last year was a concern but it was Hull and the stuff he had them doing at home was silly. How he nearly kept them up is ridiculous. Yes, they eventually went down but they were dead and he brought them within 2 points of safety at one point.

Only knock against him this season is the City result, but again City are walking over everyone - bar us - so you can give him a pass there.

He's found an absolute diamond in Richarlison and has them playing some really good stuff. Could be special if given the chance with a really good squad.

Listen.
Believe me, the absolute clowns running Hull City, would ensure that Pep Guardiola would struggle to manage that club.
In no way am I advocating Silva as a potential manager for us, at the moment at least, but he was always better than the results showed. Certainly better than Phelan and Bruce.

you think we have a "really good squad"? you can't have it both ways...its now Koeman's team...by all means disagree with the manager but how would Silva improve us with the same group of players? He's not going to come here anyway is he? Seeing as he is doing "things" with Watford.

Let's hope Silva has some kind of release clause in his contract,he almost did the unthinkable in keeping hull up and now doing a fine job with Watford and playing very decent football too.

Didn't say that like.

Point taken about the owners... but in the end its results that matter, as martinez found out with us..

For my sins, I live in Hull, so it is hard to avoid the day to day car crash that is Hull City.
With the players at his disposal, it was a miracle he kept them in the hunt as long as he did. We were lucky to get a point out of them at the KCom don't forget.
I've seen too many flavour of the moment managers get the nod to manage us, so I for one hope we don't rush out to bring him here.
