Do you mean the type of manager that doesn't go to Chelsea or the pit expecting to lose?
How long dobwe have to wait until a poll comes around like this and the ginger scruff Moyes doesn't make an appearance?????
Don't worry, he has thrown his hat in the ring for the Scotland managers job, Unsworth will get the job, till the summer and then depending on his performance, will either get a contract or we bring in a "big name"
I think a hell of a lot of top managers work with DoFs to be honest.I think one major reason Rhino will be a dark horse is that with our football structure in place, I.e DOF / Academy pathway etc, the idea central to it all was that managers could come and go without impacting the culture/regime in place too much .
It could be argued he is a hugely suitable candidate based on his history with the current structure/ relationships with players and staff and it also allows the football structure and in particular Walsh to still be relevant.
Would a big name want to risk his association with a club whom he doesn't seemingly have the final say on all things football?
Koeman did granted, but I think it was the timing for him which presented him with an opportunity to leave Saints/earn big money and get a good project to take on here.
No he hasn’t. He said he wanted to return to club management before taking that job.
The fear is real.

Is Walsh actually Koeman’s boss though?
The management structure has never been explained.
I suspect Walsh was given a fancy title. His role appears to be glorified head scout, responsible for bringing future prospects. I would be amazed if Koeman has to answer to him or doesn’t have final say on all things 1st team.
From what I remember reading, Koeman does have final say. Walsh brings him a list of players he likes and, as Koeman said, "We both have to agree" -- in other words, Koeman says yay or nay. And that's not to say that everyone we've gotten was one of Walsh's selections. For example, I really doubt Walsh was the first to suggest Rooney.
I imagine that’s correct.
So the Manager doesn’t report to him at all, which makes the DoF title look a bit stupid, doesn’t it?
