Re. The Next Manager;

Experience is no guarantee of Success - Inexperience is no guarantee of Failure...Will Mabon.

just sayin like.
That's the most vacuous statement I've read in a while. :)
It's a gamble whoever we may appoint. But the inexperienced one will have the longer odds. Prefer the shorter odds myself.
P.S. who or what is a 'Will Mabon' ?

So would I. Doesn’t mean I should be given the job.

Have you won an FA Cup, managed a successful youth side ( one that has performed consistently for years with numerous turnover of players). Got a tune out of Niasse, helped a former player get back on track with his life and career (Baxter) and overseen the most youth players represent their country, winning the world cup in the process?

He is above all a good man and one I would believe in. He has the makings of a brilliant Everton manager. He may fail, but then what if he succeeds? He certainly cannot be any worse than the miserable, disinterested waster we have in the role currently.

Not being any worse than the bad manager currently in the position was possibly the criteria used to target Ronald in the first place.

I'd prefer they make a proper recruitment plan and that Moshiri is not a part of it.

He will be though, lets hope they get it right this time...or I think he will be part of it - unless he's leaving all that Footy/none stadium stuff to BPB *shudders.

“For our club to compete in the north-west of England, which is the new Hollywood of football with Guardiola, Mourinho, Klopp, we needed a star to stand on the touchline so I got Koeman,”

Please step away from the manager recruitment and place your hands behind your head.

The utter clowns will sack him and appoint somebody to deal with the current situation rather than sack and actually have a plan in place for somebody who might achieve something in the long term.

Ffs Everton
Yep, that's my concern too. They'll go for a populist choice this time our resident luvvy will see to that.

I've wanted Koeman out since day one, but at the same time don't trust that they will make a proper long term ambitious appointment.....somebody that will make you at least feel like success is possible whether they are a risky appointment or not.

It's quite a bind. Not enjoying Everton so much these last 3 and a bit seasons.

I'd genuinely love to see Unsworth get a shot - while I admit it's no barometer for being a great first team manager, his work with the U23's is nothing short of phenomenal - as is the football he has them playing!

Fair points, but a balloon with a biro drawn face could do as well as Koeman is currently.

Change is needed and I think Unsworth deserves a shot.
Lol.That made me laugh! I think you are probably right!

The choice should be obvious in Tuchel, it was the smart choice when we originally went for Martinez instead and by the time we appointed Koeman he'd already agreed to go Dortmund, available, his reputation damaged slightly by his fall out with the owners at Dortmund so may be obtainable.

People question his defensive capabilities, but Christ compared to Martinez he's like LVG and at least the football is genuinely entertaining - not sideways and backwards or hoofball.

Just installed FIFA18 don't worry I'll start scouting now. We'll end up with guest12345678 it's all good though they bought Messi at the age of 40.. It was always going to be a task from the Moyes long stability, yes he had his short comings and boy has he paid for it now. Can't believe we are in October and have a poll open already never thought it would come to this :(
