There is nothing he can do about having Phil Jagielka and Ashley Williams to pick from in defence to be fair, and one left back who's finished. No manager in the world could get this group of players defending solidly.

Especially not Big Sam with the physical demands he puts on his defenders.

To be honest , and based purely on gut feeling , I think it's gonna be Tuchel and was all along. Since he professed himself to be interested its all gone quiet. No reports of rejection. Everything else has just been a smokescreen.
Well, I live in hope anyway. :)
Tuchel is very similar to Koeman. He left Dortmund as he lost the dressing room and had no connection with the fans. I dont think he is what we need...

Tuchel is impossible to know what would happen mate.

Also impossible to say he's similar to Koeman.

Everything I've read or heard about tuchel puts him polar opposite of Koeman, massively involved in training Koeman meanwhile delegated it to his brother and preferred to go golfing.

One thing we would see an end to is players picked on reputation as he broke that culture at Dortmund.

I don't know much about Tuchel at all mate, but what little I do know almost makes me want us to risk it all on him.

Almost.

Out of all the names bandied realistically around, he's the one with the potential to really make a huge difference, just liked him since reading a really in depth article whilst he was still at Mainz and kinda kept an eye on him ever since.

Maybe Athletico fans thought the same about Simeone when they went for him,big risk at the time - but they where a massive historic club which had done nothing for years.

At some point i think you do have to just take a calculated gamble, otherwise you end up with 20+ years without winning anything and just making up the numbers

I'm not trying to be a smart alec here - I genuinely don't know the answers:
Has Unsworth definitely been appointed, or is this just a highly educated guess? And do we know for sure that something has happened with Vlasic? If so, what?
