It’s some sort of Everton disease they all pick up. Martinez's first season he was making subs to win games, surprising the opposition with tactical inventions, changing formation regularly, playing people in form not big names. Second season he stopped all of that and went to never changing formation, never dropping certain players, and subs scheduled the same time each game.

Koeman exactly the same. He started off and it was Deulofeu up front, 3 at the back sometimes, subs at half time, triple subs to win the game, different formations. By the end it was 4231 again with the same subs on at 70 mins, no changes at all.

I don’t know why it keeps happening.

Other thenRom its been buy a world class striker and watch him turn in to a Sunday league player, it’s like as soon as they sign there name on the dotted line any ability to score disappear from them. We had Saha and Yakubu at the same time and won fek all. We are cursed sure of it.
Not to mention key injures to key personnel at the wrong time every bloody season, yet the RS best players never get injured

Well, his stock was high then, was it not? I wasnt saying we'd get him, just that if he was brought in then the pop gun attack theory went west with it.

Raises massive questions about our scouting regime and player selection methodology, not to mention negotiating skills.

It seemed to be fairly good under Moyes but it's been poor for years now. Hopefully the rumours are a major reshuffle will put it right.

Not identifying many options in the positions we want to strengthen in seems to mean that the selling clubs can hold us over a barrel. If you look at the club's we've purchased players from in recent seasons, we don't seem to cast the net very wide which must contribute to that.

Seen a lot of people say that a new manager would come in and “easily” get us to 7th, but actually think a new manager has a hell of a job on his hands coming in with this squad.

Half of them are either crap or have a shocking attitude, a further quarter are either youngsters or past it, and finally the remaining quarter consists of decent players. Hell of a job to sort that mess out.

Our players aren't consistent enough and our squad isn't deep with enough quality.
