Not bothered when it looks like Emery wants the job.
Rumored to want the job...Let's hope for the best!
Well if Koeman fancies himself that much let's shift targets. Emery or Deboer with a DOF would be refreshing...
De Boer and Emery in the same line just sounds so.................Emery for me all day long...I might even take him over Simeone...

Is Emery's English really as bad as people have suggested?

Not sure, perhaps we can hire McManaman as his translator if it is genuinely that bad LOL

People are basing that on how it went south for him at Moscow and not having worked outside Spain otherwise, but I think the language barrier would be much smaller just a small hop across the channel.

A lot of people writing off Emery because of his away form this season. Mourinho was 16th when Chelsea sacked him, but that's not bothering anyone, because he's proven himself before it. Need to look at them as a whole rather than one negative statistic that is a rare occurance
I'm definitely warming to Emery a lot more after reading some of the informative & positive posts about him on here...I'm impressed!! & I hope Moshiri has him on his radar!!

I do have issues with him looking like the Count from Sesame Street & find his 'Sex offender' eyes slightly unnerving...*Shudders!

However his huge negative net spend whilst massively punching above his weight has me nursing a well oiled semi!!...& obviously dreaming what he could achieve with a +£100M spend

Apparently it's not just Emmery. The director of football at Sevilla is integral to their success. He's known as Mr Moneyball. Can't see Joe Royle doing anything like the process described in this article:

Don't think we can get both but would love to see both of them here weaving their magic. Still, getting the players to perform is something we need. DoF is secondary at this moment.

It seemed okay when he was explaining to Klopp how he'd tactically outplayed him!
I'm sure he can pick the language up fairly quickly, be interesting to know if his coaching staff speak English.

They talk football - a universal language;

Pre-season...load of foreign jibber jabber = train harder, get fitter, another hour on the set pieces amigos.

Before / during game...Load of foreign jibber jabber X 8 = move it quick, defend from the front, hunt in packs, keep thinking, pass to the guys in the blue shirts, attack the ball, score more, concede less, etc.etc.

It's a simple game, made complicated by bluffers.

Martinez just gave us two semi's then 'flop'.

This guy could get us beyond the semi's, as he's proved tonight.

Unai Emery insists he will stay at Sevilla as long as the club want him after a third straight Europa League success.

Sevilla beat Liverpool 3-1 in Basel having gone into the break 1-0 down, meaning they will play Champions League football once again next season.

Emery, who could attract interest from other European clubs, insists he is happy at the club and will be preparing for next season.

"I am very happy here at the club. As long as Sevilla wants me we are preparing for the present and future," Emery said.

"I work thinking I am going to stay my whole life but I know how football works. I don't know what is going to happen."

Liverpool fall in Europa final
Coke's double handed Sevilla their fifth Europa League crown after a 3-1 win over Liverpool

Sevilla's success at St Jakob-Park comes after wins in 2014 and 2015, and takes their Europa League tally to five.

Emery insists the competition is loved by all at the club, and says the chance to play Champions League gives them another opportunity to grow.

"At Sevilla we love this competition and we love it so much and we want it so much that we won it," Emery added. "It is our competition and we underlined that once again.

"We are champions again and the Champions League is an opportunity to grow."

Sorry guys. I was hoping for it too after tonight.
