We have a manager. He'll remain manager. For a long time.

And none of the assorted no marks and out of reaches mentioned in this "poll" will ever be Everton manager in the foreseeable.
Okay mate but if it came to that, who would you hope for?

Lets hope we dont find out how right I am.

Mr Everton being sacked by...Everton?

Erm....

Let's face it, the board see a team robbed of a Wembley spot last night by officials who got one of the richest teams in the world out of jail. They see the team assembled by Roberto; they see the value, financial wise, RM has put into this squad; they see we're midtable.

That's all they see. The sound and fury on social media forums and twitter...no mate, that doesn't register AT ALL.

Saturday: win against Carlisle followed by a nice home draw for the 5th round and we're looking at a QF berth; 3 points against those Geordie whoppers (who many on here are begining to resemble with each passing day) and we're up the table too.

Rafael Benitez won’t rule out Everton move
Former Reds boss leaves Chelsea on Sunday having added another trophy to his CV and Jamie Carragher thinks he'd be a hit at Goodison

AFA BENITEZ has refused to rule out a move to Everton – although he admits it would be difficult for him to take charge at Goodison Park.

The interim Chelsea manager will leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season, but has said he would like to stay in the Premier League.

There will be a clutch of suitors poised to attract the high-profile Spaniard but, despite his previous links with Liverpool, he has not discounted a controversial switch to replace Manchester United bound David Moyes on the blue half of Merseyside.

He said: “I just have to wait for offers. I have my job, my agent has his job and it’s time now to relax at the end of the season and see what happens. But I expect offers to come in and we need to find the right club and the right offer.

“England is my priority because my family is here, but there are not too many top sides so there could be two different options.

“It could be a project where you could build something for the future or it could be a top side where you could compete straight away for trophies, so we will see.”

Benitez will end his Chelsea reign against Everton and, when pressed on whether he could conceivably see a future at Goodison, he added: “I have a lot of respect for Everton.

“They have done a great job in the last year, and you have to give credit to them. But, still I think it would be quite difficult for them to approach me and maybe even for me to go there.”

And retiring Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher thinks Benitez would be a hit with the blue half of Merseyside

When asked whether Benitez could join Everton, he said: “Why not? They’re looking for a manager and he’s looking for a job.

“He wants to stay in the Premier League and he’s stated that a few times, that is his priority.

“It might ruffle a few feathers, with the Liverpool and Everton side of it. I don’t know how difficult that sort of thing is. I don’t think it’s happened before with managers.

“I know it happened between Tottenham and Arsenal with George Graham and I think eventually it was a problem for him.

“Everton would love to get someone with his CV, but with the Liverpool situation it makes it difficult. If all parties come together and they are willing to give it a go then I’m sure he would do a good job.”

Another Red, Danny Murphy, who was sold by Benitez in 2004, added his support for the Spaniard.

He said: “He can manage Everton. I would be surprised if they do that though. It’s always difficult for a manager going into a job to face a little bit of negativity, because you want to get off to a flyer.

“There would be a few Evertonians that wouldn’t fancy him but also there would be some who look at his credentials and say ‘he’s won trophies everywhere he’s been’. We want to win silverware and that’s the next stage for Everton’.

“It would be a mixed bag in terms of opinions. He’s certainly up there with the candidates that are available to take over.”

What about this fella.
