Thing is, the Euro's are basically 'in the way' for us and any rebuilding programme.

Manager and player recruitment that is.
Agree re player recruitment Groucho but don't think the Euros' should affect installing a new manager.
I would be more than happy with any of Emery, Pellegrino or Koeman but slightly less with De Boer. Think AVB would also be a good shout. Don't really think David Moyes would be the answer second time round even though, in the main, he did a good job first time round.
I know it's an extremely well paid job, but it's also a very demanding one and I trust Mr Moshiri et al will make sure that they get the right man for the job (and keep Mr Kenwright very much at arms length).

We really weren't. Possession at all costs a la Martinez and FDB just doesn't work in Prem
Possession at all costs wasn't what I was referring to. I was referring to the focus of the academy and having the club play with the same style throughout all the youth levels.

I guess we will have to see how Guardiola does with his possession at all costs philosophy and whether it works in the premiership.

hopefully interviews this week, what would everyone wear for an interview for the everton managers job? one things for sure, i'd get my silly hair sorted!

No mate, it's all very quiet at the moment as I mentioned earlier, which can be a good indication that there's lots of activity.

Aye to me that screams out that they have finished the soundign out part and are getting ready for the serious business end of getting a new man in.

Both Telegraph journos from what i gather are actually pretty reliable for not spouting tosh, so hopefully IF Emery as they say is having a meeting then he sells himself well and likes the sound of what he hears from our end...

from the things you have heard, do you think the project would appeal to him at all?

Got to say after thinking about it I'd hope the club make a serious attempt to get Emery. More proven than De Boer, fresher than Pellegrini and more successful than Koeman. Been a fan of his for years and very glad to see his name seemingly in the mix.

It's nice to be linked to good managers anyway. As opposed to Phil Neville and all the atrocious names we saw last time.
