Can anyone tell me where City sat when the news broke that Guardiola was joining next season? Surely must have had a negative effect on both players and manager.

Of the two id prefer Koeman.

But understand the difficulties as he's in a job already.

Except 10 days after saying he was going to speak to the Southampton board he's not reached an agreement with them and officially is now on "holiday". With only a year left on his contract, Southampton must be concerned on the effect of "a last year" coach and the very public impression they're now giving of a board who cannot (or more accurately, will not) meet their manager's ambitions.

Similar to the Sammy Lee issue with Koeman, I'd rather Brian Kidd didn't come with Pellegrini. Something about him I don't like.

Yes, I know it's only been 8 days since the end of the season, but it would still be nice to have an actual manager.

I bet Man Utd won't arse around for 8 days before making a decision.

In short, if the decision has been made, then what are we waiting for? If it hasn't been made, well, then that's the concerning bit.
