It's nice to see the mods - @Groucho - acting unbiased as always, by closing generally relevant threads.

Yes, I know it's only been 8 days since the end of the season, but it would still be nice to have an actual manager.

I bet Man Utd won't arse around for 8 days before making a decision.

In short, if the decision has been made, then what are we waiting for? If it hasn't been made, well, then that's the concerning bit.

I'd rather we took our time to appoint the right man. Let's face it united have been in talks with mourinho for months, hence why they will announce it this week. For what it's worth, by all accounts we have interviewed pelligrini, emery is due for talks later this week and koeman is on 'holiday'. My hunch, I think our new manager will be in place by the end of next week at the latest.

I still think Koeman is playing a dangerous game if he doesn't accept our offer and waits another 12 months for a "bigger" club.

If Saints bomb next season (which is entirely possible with Europa to contend with and question marks over his commitment to them), then what bigger offers is he going to get?

His stock is currently high right now but it might not be in 12 months.

Pelligrini as DOF and emery as our manager. Both worked in Spain, will have extensive knowledge and contacts over there, but whether pelligrini will want a DOF role is another thing.

Please give him a little credit for at least the work he done before City..... he is widely recognized as a top manager across the globe, albeit he may no be your choice but he is a very good manager with an outstanding record
