Don't get the Moyes hate at all tbh. So what he tried to sign two of our players. I'm sure he didn't decide the bidding strategy.

Don't particulary want him as manager, but have no malice for him at all. Think a large part of the fan base would agree too (just not the 'everything is black and white' brigade on the internet.)

The one big plus point that could be working in Koeman's favour is the rebuilding job he has done at Southampton. If its true that we will be replacing 10-12 players this summer, then Moshiri would probably look upon his success there and hope he could do the same here.

I have no Problem with Pelligrini Emery or DeBoer. My issue with Koeman is that he has had 8 clubs in 16 years. Moyes is history. I think a lot of the press talk is rumours and people inside the club and people interested in the job.

Moyes people telling the Echo he has an interview. The club putting out rumors that Emery and Pelligrini are interviewing this week in a hope to see if Koeman will make his intentions known. It's all a cat and mouse game now.
I would like Emery, if not then Pellegrini, then Koeman and then De Boer (MOyes is not an option).

Interestingly that order of preference is supported here

You can argue with how the scores are created but in essence -

Emery 5th Best coach in the world over last 52 weeks
Pelegrini 11th
Koeman 68th
De Boer 88th

You may be interested that the chosen one is 159th and Moyes is 611th and Martinez is 135th! So Moyes would be a backward step from Martinez

Proven in the premier league? Pellegrini has won the league, finished second and fourth in three seasons. Yes he's had a lot to spend but other managers have spent loads and not performed anywhere near that in the same time period.

Plays good football? From an attacking point of view Pellegrini's football is by far the best out of any of the candidates

Good ambassador for the club? Pellegrini undoubtedly is

Good in Europe and the domestic cups? Two league cups and sustained runs in the CL with Villareal City and Malaga shows that Pellegrini has all bases covered and could realistically end the trophy drought. Can you say the same about De Boer or Koeman?

Can build a team and handle big players: Pellegrini has proven he can do both at the different clubs he's been at. The other candidates not so much.

For me he's the stand out candidate. Consistency across the league, cups and Europe means that we could realistically expect a trophy if we gave him enough time coupled with strong league performance and turning up in Europe. Yes there's questions against his defensive work and his signings at City but that is a trade off for his attacking football and he's made good signings elsewhere.

There's massive risks around Koeman De Boer even Emery yet Pellegrini seems to be copping far more flak. I can't see why. On paper he's ahead of any other candidate in my view.

I agree I don't understand the flak he's getting. Him and Emery are the best and most exciting managers linked so far for me. I have to laugh when people say 'yeah but City spent loads of money so should have won the league' like thats how football works. Its like they discount all the other teams equally capable of winning the league.

I can see why Koeman is in the frame even if 8 clubs in 16 years concerns me. Two seasons at Southampton in what could be classed a rebuilding job, finishes of 7th and 6th, 76 games and 123 points won and just 73 goals conceded.

Why is it taking so long to get someone in? Every other club who have got rid of a manager have had a replacement already lined up. They haven't had to take weeks to "get it right". We have 5 possibly 7 or more players leaving (hopefully McGeady) Might be a good idea to get a manager in place to look for players!! Is this just so we get excited when we do finally appoint someone ..... Moyes!!!! F***in Moyes!!!!! the man who taught us mediocrity was a great success then left an basically called us a small club  ............................I feel better now :) onward an upward etc etc ;)
