To be honest i don't really want him. Koeman has done well the past two seasons, no doubt, but his previous record concerns me. Sacked by Ajax, resigned due to poor performance at benfica and Valencia, sacked at AZ, in fact he has only not been sacked by psv and his last two jobs at feynoord and Southampton.

I may be wrong but I believe les reed is the director of football at Saints, who deals with identifying and signing players, that is a big factor in their success. He could be great for us or he could be like most of his jobs, without reed, a total mess.

I interpreted Les Reeds comments about how there is no point sitting down to discuss a contract until you are on the same page as meaning Koeman and their board have agreeed targets as they wouldn't be having contract talks later this week if they hadn't.

Hopefully I'm wrong as I think he is exactly the right kind of manager we need, a tactically aware manager with a big enough name to attract top talent.
 

Anxiety based impatience all over the show.

I'd rather they took some time and identified the man who fits what they are looking for most. The majority of which are usually employed so negotiations would take a little longer.

Actually I have very little preference personally of who comes in next so I really want them to take their time and get it right.

Doubt we will end up with a summer of 97 scenario again.

I'm afraid I can only see Moyes back or Pellegrini at a push. Can see Koeman staying, us messing talks up with De Boer (let's be honest we are going to balls up at least 1 interview!!) can't see emery leaving this season leaving not too many other names in the frame
