I'd genuinely be a bit gutted with Koeman, I don't think his small stint in the prem makes him a proven manager. All the links to Emery have got me really hyped for him to come in, nothing Excites me about Koeman

Moshiri + team have obviously met him and seen something they like very much if they are this persistent. That's good enough for me, I'm neither a billionaire nor all that savvy about football compared to all these people so I hope we get him if he is number one target.

You have to look at perspective mate, or generally a lot of people on here.

Koeman represents a rebuild job. Considering how poor and unbalanced our squad is, not a bad choice to get going again. He is going to take us back into Europa again so that is a positive step by itself. He may not win us the league or worry the teams who may do, but in terms of moving forward he could well put us back in the same position we were when Moyes left us, thst Martinez briefly showed us what thst starting position can do.

Emery or Pellegrini for example is the club showing ambition and getting someone in with high profile experience. Thst us less thinking of a rebuild and more of a fully backing a manager who could well bring success. Personally emery would be an amazing appointment and possibly the difference in ending our trophy drought if he could get it right. Pellegrini very highly respected also, city, Spain jobs, real Madrid. He would attract players off his name alone and again be a signal of just getting behind a manager.

De Boer type appointments are a little unknown, more long term appointments but not necessarily hitting either end of the scale. A more risky approach but if it worked then we would reap the rewards of thst.

If moshi wasn't here, bill would have signed Moyes

Yes he probably would have and you know what, he probably would do ok and would keep us mid to top7th from time to time but we are aiming much higher these days with the new guys if all is to be believed. I don't think Moyes is a bad guy at all or a particulatly bad coach.

Didn't fancy Koeman before and I'm a bit disappointed if we're just throwing money at him instead of looking elsewhere. He didn't show much interest before, if he doesn't want to leave a team like Southampton for us at the given opportunity fine. Seems to value himself way too highly if he's not at least a little interested considering the likes of Emery, De Boer and Pellegrini are supposedly keen
