the article is written by a lad who only writes online articles and has no regular position with the daily mail, for a reason.

it is putting two, and two together and linking him purely because he was at a boxing match, it has no substance what so ever mate.
Phil Kirkbride has stated it again today in the Echo. 'David Moyes and David Unsworth have been interviewed for the position as well.'
All the evidence indicates that DM is in the running however much people on here don't want to believe it but it's Moshiri who'll have the final say and he wants a big name making Moyes very unlikely unless we're turned down by several preferred candidates first. I for one am not worried. All right, I'll admit I'm a little worried but I'm still optimistic one of the preferred candidates can be secured by a huge wage offer.

Positive stuff about not giving up on Emery or Koeman. Exactly type of ambition and statement of intent required
For the first time in my life it feels like we are going for the best, in keeping with our motto. Previously it has seemed that we have given it to the guys who apply for the vacancy.
We have slipped into the realms of mediocrity and fallen way off the pace in the last 30 years and now we hopefully have a chairman who is aiming higher.
We have always done well in selling the romance of Everton but we need to accompany that sale with ambition too, in order to attract the likes of emery.

We should no longer sell ourselves as the stepping stone to success elsewhere but we should offer the chance for the new manager to be successful at our club.

Come on Mosh lad.

Exactly what I was thinking from that article (maybe not all true but wel see). Hope we just don't settle and do go after the best available.

Simeone, if not Koeman.
We need to aim high, this is a defining moment in our history with new investment on and off the pitch.
I'm sick to death of people on here saying we can't get the likes of Simeone, why not? He's been quoted as saying he may have to 'break the cycle'. At least approach him, he may want a new challenge and realise that he may always come 3rd in Spain and see the Premiership as a stepping stone, plus if reports are correct about offering Koeman £6 mill a year then I'm sure we could tempt Simeone financially?
