So why expect more now all of a sudden?

I'd take a consistent top 6 finish right now if it was offered. Start somewhere, right now we are going backwards.

If we can win the league one day the fantastic, but need some good foundations before we get anywhere near it

Rome wasn't built in a day certainly.

It's a palpable change in approach that I want to see initially - playing with tempo and pace, players that look fit and motivated, and a variation in tactics to suit the game. Not conceding early or late. Generally looking as if we are at the races in games. Subtle things fans notice.

Beyond that we all want CL and silverware. I look at it in terms of continuous improvement - winning a game 3-0 is better than 2-0.

I want a manager that would be furious to concede a soft goal from a set-piece in the 95th minute when winning 4-0.
