Managers can also have great seasons followed by bad ones. Roberto is a classic example. I do think that Moyes had his defence so organised that it took a full season to train it out of them. Added his attention to attack with that defence.

I'll support whoever gets the job, hoping they'll be a success. But I'd prefer Emery now. Just read his record at the other clubs. Only in the Russian Club did it go badly.

Managers can have bad seasons, look at Koeman while he's been in the Prem, is a player crap because he had a bad season 3 years ago?

Look at his record at Benfica and AZ as well though. It's not all been golden if you discount Valencia, plus he hasn't won anything of note for nearly 10 years.

Definitely a step up from what we had but I think we can do better.

What do I know though, I'm using Wikipedia to substantiate my argument.

You ITK lid?? You peeing on our emery party

Not really. I was told by someone who has strong business dealings with Moshiri here that RK was always the No. 1 target.

He did tell me about the takeover a couple of days before the news broke but never passed that on figuring it would have been too far out there!

I'm far from being an ITK but probably have 1,000 times more idea what's happening than some of the beauts that have been posting here.

I don't think it will be Koeman based on the below;

Collapsed is a little dramatic - there was mutual interest but ultimately Koeman has sights on bigger things 12 months down the line. There were never any guarantees.

We've moved on mate, Koeman has indicated he's not coming and as you can read, there's the chance of attracting Emery if we meet their demands and he decides for definite he wants to come.

Firstly the source is questionable, Koeman was Moshiri's preferred option but that changed in recent days with Emery and there are further alternatives.

The process is going well, just a little more patience required.

Can't say I'm disappointed even though I'd make a good few bob from a bet if it was.

I assume we'll know this week? :drunk:

He is overrated. Look at his cv at Benfica and AZ. Is he better than Moyes for what he did at Southampton? It is disappointing but I will respect Moshiri's choice at the end for all the effort and money it is claimed he has and will continue to offer for the best for Everton

Just an update lads, after my ITK source read the papers this morning, he has been in touch with me and told me that we want Koeman badly, and it may happen, or it may not.
Lou, you're a quality GOTer.
A couple of weeks back, this thread's roller-coaster ride drove me off the rails a bit...lost my marbles.
I even got called a nutter....by you!

And now...?

...Welcome to the Pleasure Dome, Lou.

Oh really.

'strong business links' - check
After the event ITK claim - check
posting history that doesn't suggest he knows anything - check

I think this might be one for @the sniderman

Gee, I was really hoping Postecoglou got the gig. Was starting to think that GoT members would whisper in awe as I walked by & theyd erect a statue in my honour at GOT HQ. And, at the base it would say "Biggy Rat - ITK Champion!"
