Do you know what the hold up with Emery may be? Might it be conditional on Monchi?

It seems to me that Koeman has been game playing for a little bit. It looked initially like he was using us to get more out of Southampton however increasingly it looks like he was using them to try and get a better deal out of us. What's probably surprised him is the move for Emery from left field and just how attractive an option we have become.

My gut feeling with Koeman is he is probably playing both us and Southampton off against one another but has probably realised he needed to keep us closer than he has.

I like Koeman a lot but I can't say I have been most enamoured by his conduct over the last week or so. Emery seems to be behaving with a little more decency overall and it does worry me a little how Koeman appears to be playing games a little more.
I'm not a big fan of Koeman but even if I was, the way he's conducted himself would be a big no from me. If Emery decides not to come I'd be looking at De Boer and tell Koeman to do one.

We can't rush into these things. Be patient and trust the board

*Currently have the Europa League final waiting to be watched here but I refuse to until he signs, because if I do and it's Koeman, I might cry a little*

Also reading up on my Klopp vs Emery stats in preparation of the relentless 'you only signed him because he beat us' about to come our way from all my RS mates... I need to be armed!

Tell them to do one, their saviour hasn't won in his last 5 finals.

I'd much pref EMERY mate but the thing with KOEMAN is no-one really knows at this stage 'how' he's conducted himself, it's pure assumption and - if taken at basics - well, we sounded him out, made an offer, and he went away to think about it whilst his current employers prepped a new contract for him (which was always going to happen)...in short, he's doing what we're doing, he's taking his time over a BIG decision....

And rightly so.

I have no ill will to RON.

Plus his head's like a medicine ball so he may well need more thinking time than most.

Hated him when he was a player. Broke my wee heart.

1994 - should have been sent off then scores goal which stops England qualifying for the first world cup where I was properly into football
1995 - knocks Everton out of Europe, badly fouls Craig Short, totally unapologetic afterwards

A winner but horrible with it.
