Lets be positive eh? Lets acknowledge that he's a good manager and hes less of a risk than employing someone from outside the premiership?
Lets look at the fact hes won league three times in holland, with two different teams. Yes the dutch league isnt the best but thats no mean feat.
Last season , early on we tonked Southampton at St Marys and saints where all over the place, to be fair he regrouped his players and got them up the league. Thats what we need someone the regroup our players (re:baines comments a few weeks ago) His team ended up with a goal difference of plus 17. And thats a mixture of a good keeper a strong defence and good attackers despite there top scorer only scoring 11 league goals.
Alot of people wanted Emry but indications are hes either turned us down or hesitated, thats fine hes allowed to do that. Koeman is a better option then some of the names we've been linked with IMO , Moyes, Klinsmann, Giggs, Hughes, up until last week id have said probably Pelligirini was the only close option, but his semi retirement comments basically put end to that. Clearly the new owner likes him and you cant help but think that admiration that has come from his Arsenal days. He's also happy to go along with a Director of football which is good as thats cleaely where we are heading.
IF it is Koeman - Good luck to the bloke.
