Really good manager Koeman. What worries me is the fact that he can't stay at one club for long can he?
No disrespect to Koeman, but in a couple of seasons time we might be due a manager upgrade anyway. Hopefully we'll have started to progress by then and can lure anyone to the club

Not believing anything until its actually reported by the club or a genuine respectable source, far too many ITK's and people simply effecting the betting odds on twitter for Sky etc...

If it is Koeman then i've got no complaints, don't think he would have been my 1st choice but if he has genuine ambition of 1 day managing Barca the only way that is going to happen is through getting a team in to the champions league regularly (or the Enrique route of stabilizing a team in spain) and if backed financially we would be a better path to that for a much higher wage than Southampton currently. Was quite impressed by him on MNF towards the end of the season and seemed very knowledgeable on how he see's the game and likes his teams to play.

But the 1st sentence i stand by till it's complete, doesn't take a genius to speculate that it will be complete by the end of the week, been calling that for a while with euro's starting next weekend and ending at the start of pre season.

As long as we don't dither beyond Sunday and end up panicking with someone like Moyes il be alright with whoever they choose from the main one's still being linked.

They also got battered at home by Everton

Southampton won there last 4 games of the season, winning 5 of there last 6 games (the other game they drew with us).

They also beat RS, Spurs (away), Man City, Man Utd (away), west ham, - drew with Arsenal (away).

RK shown he can beat the big teams.

What alternative are you looking for, exactly? By the best accounts available we've spoken to Mourinho, approached Simeone and offered Emery a contract. None of those three worked out. We interviewed Pellegrini and deemed him unsuitable. Where do you see a better option than Koeman that's realistically available at this point?
Bang on mate some people on here are whingeing away about how someone elses money hasnt fulfilled their dreams!

And to add to the above Zat, Southampton have a DoF, whos job it is to sign the players and promote the youth.

He will give a list to koeman who then chooses. Id imagine a few will be his own choices as well.

Also its not the DOFs job to play the kids.

I'll go full retard if we get koeman. Terrible appointment if true. Woild question Moshiri if we really got him on silly money as well.
But let's give him the benefit of the doubt if he is appointed eh? Honestly, I think we're all done with the fuming and whining on here for a while. You genuinely don't know how he's going to perform with our squad and some serious financial resources.

Dutch lads reckon today's the day.

Everton hopes to present within 24 hours of Ronald Koeman as new coach. The team from Liverpool have before it surrenders his contract with Southampton for several million euros. But owner Farhad Moshiri has that great pleasure.

Yup. Like I said earlier only Spurs and Leicester had more points than Southampton after the calendar hit 2016. Pretty dang good.

I feel the thought that this is underwhelming but honestly it'll only be underwhelming if we can't secure monchi. Get him and I'll be perfectly excited.

Don't let your voice of reason get in the way of a bunch of cry-arses who want to wail because their club hasn't been magically transformed into Barcelona.
