Why isn't 7th and 6th ok? And note the upward curve, unlike Martinez who just got worse by the season.

Pochettino only managed 8th in his first full season with Southampton, with a win rate of just over 38%. Koeman has finished 7th and 6th during his two seasons in charge, with a win rate of just over 48% - with a lot of their best players having left.
6th and 7th is just fine as long as it's on an upward curve, the concern is, can we hold on to player without CL?

6th and 7th is not fine if on a downward curve, a la Martinez' 5th and subsequent downward slide.

Forgive me, I'm last with stats sometimes - is 48% any good?

What im saying is that hes kept them stable and rusen due to us and chelsea imploding rather than him improving them.
He didn't improve them? So you're saying that win-rate increase of 10% since Pochettino left is purely because Everton and Chelsea 'imploded'? To reach the conclusion that they haven't improved because of two other teams finishing lower than normal is just faulty logic.

Not to mention. Throughout this process he has held Koeman as his first choice; so the ITK knowledge goes. Why is a billionaire investor aiming for average?

The esk has been on about Moshiri's aim for 'NSNO' to be fulfilled.

Nothing sacrificed nothing obtained.

It will take more than Ronald Koeman.

Mate I could manage to that at Ajax, Benfica, and Eindhoven. I'm just saying we are massively overrating Koeman bc he had to sell. That is what every supporter points to. When Moyes could claim the exact same thing but we are too ambitious for Moyes. I just think we should be more ambitious than his Dutch counterpart.

Moyes blew his chance when he started mouthing of at us while he was at man u. If it so easy to win at Ajax and the rest, why haven't you done it. Moyes didn't believe in the club and always put us back in our places. Don't forget his famous words when he went to Anfield with his man u team that he can finally take a winning team to Anfield and he still lost. Anyways Moyes is just not good enough anymore, Koeman is twice the winner mentality.
We are going to rebuild this summer
We have a loads of weak players in the team
We are vulnerable

This is where Koeman pros comes in
Can rebuild
Is Strick and will sort this players out
Premiership experience
Managed over 600 games

We are not ready to fight of the title yet. Our team is a mess right now, I can understand why the board have gone for him.

Totally this. We're only getting an average manager which is a safe bet and for all moshris Money I'm astounded.

I think you will find most fans are totally underwhelmed by this.
I'm not underwhelmed by Koeman, if he'd have been announced before Emery was mentioned I think 90% would be happy.

I'm prepared to give him a go, he does have current PL experience, and has managed to get a Southampton side who sell their players into Europe so here's hoping he can do wonders with our apparently humungous transfer kitty/warchest/fund.

I have no inside info but having a billionaire investor + the amount of people saying how excited they are about our new top manager coming in....

I would have been just as furious if kenwright had hired Koeman.

Hand on heart id rather have Unsworth or Eddie Howe than someone whose average at best.

Unsworth or Howe with a top DOF....much more exciting than Robald Koeman.

Pipe down Faustino

At best im underwhelmed.

I actually hate koeman but objectively will say that hes average.

Imagine linking him with Barca after his stint at valencia...

His agent has had us off here.

Moshiri not what many have claimed.

I too wanted Emery to be our manager but I wont go apecrap cause it didnt happend.

I like how Moshiri has played this. It's a work of Art and display of his determination.

New era for our club and we are in good hands.

I think 48% is good when the previous (highly-rated) manager only reached a win-rate of 38%. By itself, 48% is a bit unimpressive, but look at what Pochettino has achieved now that he's at a bigger and wealthier club.
