Managing RM and being successful doing it are different things. Ramos did OK I guess.

Michel went to the best team in Greece and dominated a two team league. now moved to Marseille where he's been awful.

Marcelino has done OK at Villarreal. Aside from that not much for managers after leaving Sevilla.

As for trophies under monchi...
Spanish Cups ( 2007 and 2010)
Spanish Super Cup (2007)
Europa League/UEFA Cups (2006, 2007, 2014, 2015and 2016)
and the 2006 UEFA Super Cup

If your goal here is to say monchi isn't one of the best DoF out there I think you're way off base. Btw I'm not trying to discount Emery. He was my first choice manager. Just saying to me monchi is more important than whoever the manager is.

Im not saying Monchi doesnt do an outstanding job, but you implied he doesnt need a manager, only Emery and Ramos won trophies under him, so he cant do it on his own, was more my point.

Has anyone looked at his past ffs?

One year at Southampton in the most bizaar league for years doesn't make you a footy god.

Look at his past ffs

Look at Southampton under potchatino by mile a better team.

The one thing moshiri has done so far is talk to the fans/no.

He employs a bang average (being nice here) manager!

Worried now? Me yes!

Interesting fact, in the 1.5 seasons Poch was in charge, Southampton spent 70m on players.
In Koemans 2 they have spent 100m, minus 22m Net.

Ah. Not what I meant at all. My point was more that I believe whether it was pelligrini, Emery, koemen, or de boer all were capable of doing the job with him doing the player recruitment. Had this been the manager list from 3 years ago it would be a much different story.

I don't get the "safe option" shouts.

1. Name me one thing in his career that makes him the "safe option"? I can name planty why he isn't.

2. Isn't everyone bored with efc taking the safe option?

5 million euros for Koeman
Saturday 4 June 2016, 0:55
Everton has another year continuous contract of Ronald Koeman at Southampton for a 5 million euro bought off. This is the way for the Dutch trainer with immediate effect to move to Everton.

The green light came after hard negotiations between the leadership of Southampton and the owner of Everton, the Iranian-British businessman Farhad Moshiri.

The billionaire he initially thought that Koeman could easily soak off at his current club, but Technical Director Les Reed and General Manager Ralph Kruger wanted to retain the coach with all the violence.

170 million
The fact that Koeman in two seasons for 170 million euros to players has sold and yet new records established with Southampton in the Premier League (highest number of points ever) gave the Saints-leadership the idea that there is also a third sensational season was possible.

But Everton made it clear that it was prepared the maximum transfer fee (within his contract) to pay for Koeman. Earlier Mosiri, which already dropped most of the shares in possession and has big plans with Everton, know that Koeman a millions of salary can get at his club.

Koeman is quickly on Goodison Park, the home of Everton, expected. There he must take the last talks before he can finalize his transition. Only then can he begin a second adventure in England. His brother Erwin will move with you to the North with him.

Getting started
Although Koeman still can celebrate holidays in the coming weeks, he will have to go to the battle at Everton also a good team. The team which performed regularly this season, must be strengthened in several places.

Who is the successor of Koeman at Southampton is not yet known. The Saints have only just recovered from the fear that they have lost their coach. Known is that the owner and Director of the club fans are of Dutch coaches since Koeman.
