Well I have to say Ive warmed to the idea of Ronald. He wasn't my first choice, but after thinking about it for a few days, he's definitely the safest and most realistic option. I wanted mourinho at first (was never going to happen) then switched my allegiance to Emery, no doubt a great manager, but could he replicate that success with us? maybe or maybe not but I don't think we're in the position to take that gamble.
So, I'm firmly behind the ginger Dutch fella, a new season with a new manager and a new owner, maybe some new faces as well. Yep,my optimism has risen after the last couple of years.
Pretty much thought the same mate.
Now if we get Monchi as well I will be ecstatic, and I will jump up and down with excitement.

Not in the top 10 ?

Like for realz ?

What?! Are you confusing Ben Foster for Fraser Forster?!

Lloris
Hart
Butland
De Gea
Czech
Courtois
Schmeichel

Are all in a different league completely.

Whilst I'd argue the 4 below are better without thinking too hard who else is in the league. The fact that even at best he's only 8th best in the league means we should look elsewhere now were loaded. Move on from big lumps of a keeper who can't move.

Caballero
Ospinna
Begovic
Adrian

ferguson done naff all under martinez. i want unsworth to have more responsibility with a view to taking over from koeman down the line.

Love him but he needs to gooff and get first team management experience before Everton ever consider that. The role should be earned not given based on history

to quote you, how do you know if you're not at finch farm every day?!
because i speak to people who are at finch farm every day, and people who work in the football business. All of which rate him highly as a coach.

Martinez in the end was worried about duncans influence because of how highly respected he is by players, fans, and the staff at everton who make up everton all respect him, most of which respected him more than martinez him self, and he did not wish for that to undermine him when he was already struggling for his job.

he was not encouraged to talk or give team talks, hopefully that changes with Koeman who i am sure won't be as insecure as martinez was.

You are right but as I say, there has been a major regime shift this summer for us. I have no idea how we will do but we are in a better position off the pitch than we have been during the premier league.

So who knows what's going to happen.

Worth noting re Chelsea and city.

Chelsea and city league titles combined: 9.

Everton league titles: 9.

I'd like to see this represented as an image of a person, possibly purple aki stood on a graph dressed in an Everton kit and other aki images in city, Chelsea and spurs kits with the height relative to titles. Bill will obviously need to be peering in with a smug grin somewhere and so on.
