I found myself even googling some lid from German football today because you lot were banging on about as a manager and thinking "oooo he's ace" until I realised you plums were influencing me in a most monstrous manner. Pipe down.

De Boer would be an interesting one. Okay it's not a great league he's in and so he's somewhat unproven but he has massive experience as a player and is a proven winner.

Actually, that last point is probably why he wouldn't come. We're filled with losers from top to bottom.

So what you are trying to say is he's a proven winner in a league where its more of a shock for Ajax to lose the title than to win it.
It's like someone winning the league with Porto, you take it with a pinch of salt.

I meant he was a winner as a player and will still have that mentality as a manager. He won the Champions League, UEFA Cup and captained Holland to a World Cup semi-final. This club badly needs someone to come along who has a win at all costs mentality. Benitez and Mourinho have it in abundance and look at the success they've had. Moyes was (and is) a text-book nearly man and Martinez has shown himself to be an awful coach who seemingly got lucky winning a cup with Wigan.

Sporting lisbon manager cant think of his name.he was with benfica last year.
I'm currently working offshore with a Portugese guy, massive Benfica fan, I just asked him about him. This is what he said :

"Jorge Jesus.... What a f*****g w****r. He left us last season for Sporting for more money. Was with us for about 6 seasons. Great manager though, very similar to Mourinho. Very arrogant. Can only speak Portugese though, and can barely even speak that as he has a very strange accent"

You mean like Mourinho did before he got the Chelsea job?

Personally I'd like to see us try and get De Boer. He's young and already experienced managing in the champs league and was the Dutch assistant in the 2010 World Cup. He took over a declining Ajax side that hadn't won a title in 6/7 years and won 4 Eredivise titles on the bounce in his first 4 seasons. This first time that's ever been done in the Dutch league and the first time Ajax have won 4 successive titles.

His Ajax side are one of the most exciting young sides in Europe, the majority of which are players he's brought through after working with them at youth level.

Bergkamp & his brother are his assistants as well, bit of a step up from Jones & Lawrence, you'd imagine if we have any chance of keeping the likes of Stones, Lukaku, Delefaou and Barkley then these are the calibre of coaches they'd want to be working with and learning from.
