I think it would have been an interesting dilemma if he'd come out with an outright yes . I suspect Moshiri & Co did not push Emery when they knew Koeman was back interested.

Emery had several days' head start over Koeman and could have said yes any time during that period. But he chose not to. I suspect he was not seriously interested in us. Sevilla have coughed up more transfer funds for the summer. And perhaps he has any eye on something happening at Atletico Madrid or in Italy?

How do you know this for fact?

I love how the kopites over on RAWK move the goalposts to suit their agenda. Apparently Koeman was too good for us and would never leave Southampton but now he has he's a 3rd rate manager, also how they would laugh if Saints got De Boer (the same bloke totally unproven outside of the Dutch SPL) and if saints finished above us (ironically they also finished below the team they pillaged for half their side). They are rattled I can't wait for the new stadium news that'll tip them over the edge! lol

I don't, its conjecture and wasn't presented as fact. But it is believed that Everton talked to Emery or his agent at least some days before the CL Final and then Koeman starts to emerge from about Wed this week. Regarding Sevilla, if you check out the links to the fans' message boards and twitter accounts that I posted some days ago you will find plenty of chat about Monchi and his targets in spending the new funds recently offered by Sevilla. 95m€ was mentioned. Until about Tues they had been preparing for the loss of Emery (by deriding Everton!) after that day Emery was barely mentioned again, other than with links with PSG and AC Milan.

Seen a great comment on RAWK the other day saying that it was a step down for Koeman, given that Southampton finished above us, they were now the bigger club.

Absolutely oblivious to the fact Southampton also finished above themselves!
