That would indeed be ironic.

You guys will be fine. Solid infrastructure and less pressure than coming to us if it is e.g.nDe Boer. Just steer clear of Martinez!

Koeman will be under pressure here as our new shareholder won't be bankrolling him thinking 6th or 7th would be a result.
I think Koeman will be given a bit of leeway in his first season, because he is being tasked to rebuild a squad, and make it a threat again at the top, and that doesn't happen overnight! Poch didn't do great at his first season at Spurs, but the Spurs board understood it would take time, and are now reaping the rewards. I think you guys need to understand that it will take time too!

Oh, soon then.

Should I tell them he promised to win us the league?

For what it's worth I think the names Saints will be linked to will be fairly similar to the names you guys were linked to, (Oh merciful god not Moyes). One of our ITK's hinted towards AVB, who was 25-1 and is now 3-1, but FdB is also being touted around. I would laugh if we ended with Emery (unlikely), as we would of got the manager you wanted, and you would of got the manager we wanted!
I'd laugh with you mate - somewhat of a bitter ironic laugh and accompanied by lots of "ffs Everton" but I'd laugh!

I'm happy if Koeman is made manager, he has shown enough in his time at Southampton that he can improve on what was already there whilst playing good football with more importantly, a solid defence.
The fact that a manager has chosen to move from a club that finished 6th and in Europe to a team that finished 11th speaks volumes of the plans that Moshiri has for Everton.
Dare I say it's time to get excited? No No best not, this is Everton after all!!

Think logically, if Emery was not totally sold on Everton's vision yet Koeman has bought into Moshiri's proposition versus Southampton's there is no way Emery would go to Southampton.

It's a total non-story.
Wasn't it more Koeman completely changed his mind after we were getting close to Emery? Like you said...Koeman was always Moshiri's first choice.

We are pretty used to things taking time mate.

In fact, things that happen quickly make us dead twitchy/excited.

I'm hoping that due to him having a big profile in world football he may be able to or have the links to gets some proper decent players in.....wasn't my 1st, 2nd or even 3rd choice but I'm super excited.... coyb

I have been an Everton fan for 25 years. I have followed this form for years also but have never commented so I apologise.

If Koeman is the man can we not please support him? I know we have money now and we can spend but it is not like we are suddenly the biggest club in the world. If Koeman helps us to get there then surely that's a good thing.

Apologies but I cannot understand the negative people towards him
Corse you have ian CORSE YOU HAVE cough hunter of glory.

Right lads, my source Trevor works as a cleaner at Goodison and he managed to film the meeting between Ronald and Farhad last night where the deal was struck so i can confirm with the following stills that it is ON. :

Ronald-Koeman.jpg

Ronald : "Right. Bottom line, Farhad. I want a six-month contract at Everton to win trophies."

Farhad : "No, Ronald. I’m not going to give you a six-month contract."

Ronald : "You’re just like all the rest, aren’t you? You sit there on your fat spotty behind, in a failed actors chair, leching at Bartina like a piece of meat…"

Farhad : "Ronald, Ronald, Ronald! I’m not going to give you a six-month contract, because I have prepared a five-year one."

Ronald : "Uh? That’s brilliant.

Farhad : "7 million a year.

Ronald : "That’s 35 million pounds! Jurassic Park. I’m sorry for saying you were fat before. I just mean you’re big boned."

Farhad : "That’s all right. How about celebrating. Let’s get a bottle of Bolly!"

Ronald : "Sod that, let’s have some champagne. On me. Go on, Bartina. Go and get it."

Ronald : "Farhad, are....are you dead?"

Has he ever been to Russia?

Asking for a friend.

Good point! We're used to our best players and managers leaving every season after Les Reed makes a Youtube video saying there going to stay a few weeks before. Funny how football is cyclical!
