Think logically, if Emery was not totally sold on Everton's vision yet Koeman has bought into Moshiri's proposition versus Southampton's there is no way Emery would go to Southampton.

It's a total non-story.
Seem to recall you saying that Emery was made an offer - did he turn it down or did we get an acceptance from both him and Koeman and chose the one Moshiri had wanted from the start?

The feeling at Southampton was that Moshiri was never about to stop raising the salary offer to Koeman, or the promise of transfer resources, until he got the answer he wanted and Southampton were not prepared to get into a bidding war.

Think that's the main take away from the article, going to be an exciting summer if he maintains that attitude.

For what it's worth I think the names Saints will be linked to will be fairly similar to the names you guys were linked to, (Oh merciful god not Moyes). One of our ITK's hinted towards AVB, who was 25-1 and is now 3-1, but FdB is also being touted around. I would laugh if we ended with Emery (unlikely), as we would of got the manager you wanted, and you would of got the manager we wanted!

I got the manager I wanted!

Not sure we were linked to Eddie Howe.

Right lads, my source Trevor works as a cleaner at Goodison and he managed to film the meeting between Ronald and Farhad last night where the deal was struck so i can confirm with the following stills that it is ON. :

Ronald-Koeman.jpg

Ronald : "Right. Bottom line, Farhad. I want a six-month contract at Everton to win trophies."

Farhad : "No, Ronald. I’m not going to give you a six-month contract."

Ronald : "You’re just like all the rest, aren’t you? You sit there on your fat spotty behind, in a failed actors chair, leching at Bartina like a piece of meat…"

Farhad : "Ronald, Ronald, Ronald! I’m not going to give you a six-month contract, because I have prepared a five-year one."

Ronald : "Uh? That’s brilliant.

Farhad : "7 million a year.

Ronald : "That’s 35 million pounds! Jurassic Park. I’m sorry for saying you were fat before. I just mean you’re big boned."

Farhad : "That’s all right. How about celebrating. Let’s get a bottle of Bolly!"

Ronald : "Sod that, let’s have some champagne. On me. Go on, Bartina. Go and get it."

Mate. I'd take a dull 4-0 win over Arsenal and a dull 4-2 win over City and a dull 3-2 win over Liverpool (coming back from 2-0 down) and a dull 2-1 win at White Hart lane and 2 wins out of 2 at Old Trafford and a dull 3-1 win at Stamford Bridge.

Oh and don't forget that Juande Ramos won back to back Uefa cups at Sevilla and 'Bombed' here so Emery was no sure thing.

We are on the up, Man City's first owners employed a Solid premier league manager to get the ball rolling, they've since won 5 major honours, maybe......just maybe this is the start of our path?

Just enjoy the ride, I know I will, season ticket in hand. This is the best it's been for a while.

And think it was only a few weeks ago Sunderland were ODDS ON to beat us. Koff Martinez. Never again.

COYB!!!!!!
Lol! Those scenarios you describe would be far from dull! I think I had my heart set on a complete nutter a la Mancini who would come in and shake the place to its core. I'm happy to give him a chance- wouldn't write him off before he gets here.

Appreciate all the rest of your points. I was at the Sunderland game. It was horrible, really, really horrible. As you said Koff Martinez!

I have been an Everton fan for 25 years. I have followed this form for years also but have never commented so I apologise.

If Koeman is the man can we not please support him? I know we have money now and we can spend but it is not like we are suddenly the biggest club in the world. If Koeman helps us to get there then surely that's a good thing.

Apologies but I cannot understand the negative people towards him

If we splash big bucks to get Koeman, you get FDB on the cheap and he goes on to outperform us we will look a bit silly won't we.
