I think what we can take from this manager search is just how serious Moshiri is about restoring Everton to former glories. Whether you agree with the appointment of Koeman or not, i think we can all agree that Moshiri has had a plan and regardless of what it is costing him or the answers he originally got from people, he has steadfastly stuck to what he believes is best for the club and made sure he has got what he wanted.

This last few weeks just reinforces to me that we have an owner who is prepared to do whatever it takes to get us back to where we belong. Now here's looking forward to the transfer window for once and not having to worry about the last few minutes of the window to do our shopping. It really does seem like its only going to be onwards and upwards for us from now on.

I really cannot wait for the new season to start!

If Emery somehow makes it to Southampton, that'll be a most scrutinized comparison moving forward.

He won't. If he did turn down Moshiri's project, why would he move to Southampton and go through worse that he's had at Sevilla (selling his best players). There were reports Sevilla had offered him money to spend so can't see him going anywhere.

Totally agree! Koeman would not be coming here without the promise of serious funds to improve the squad.

Moshiri has been quiet publicly but behind the strings he is moving things in the direction we've all been craving for years.

Yeah this is the article I was referencing, it mentions Emery to Southampton although it also reads like a slightly bitter Southampton press release.
Was written by Sam Wallace who only a couple of days ago wrote this so can understand him being a touch bitter with all that egg on his face!

There is a growing confidence at Southampton that the old order so rudely shaken up by Leicester City is changing for them too. For instance, Everton’s interest in appointing Ronald Koeman was considered so unlikely to tempt the Southampton manager that key figures at the club cannot recall there even being a meeting about it. The polite answer being that they would not expect to lose a player to Everton, and certainly not their manager.

Haha surprised that hasn't been deleted at Southampton's request

Fantastic might be overselling him a bit. I'm sure he will be fine but dull, I'm just not excited. If we were allegedly prepared to make somebody the 4th highest paid manager in the Premier League, I'm feeling we could have aimed higher.
Mate. I'd take a dull 4-0 win over Arsenal and a dull 4-2 win over City and a dull 3-2 win over Liverpool (coming back from 2-0 down) and a dull 2-1 win at White Hart lane and 2 wins out of 2 at Old Trafford and a dull 3-1 win at Stamford Bridge.

Oh and don't forget that Juande Ramos won back to back Uefa cups at Sevilla and 'Bombed' here so Emery was no sure thing.

We are on the up, Man City's first owners employed a Solid premier league manager to get the ball rolling, they've since won 5 major honours, maybe......just maybe this is the start of our path?

Just enjoy the ride, I know I will, season ticket in hand. This is the best it's been for a while.

And think it was only a few weeks ago Sunderland were ODDS ON to beat us. Koff Martinez. Never again.

COYB!!!!!!
