As long as his mum has access to a fax machine, Ronald's specific locale is not hugely relevant.

1. Depends on what you term 'does well'. For me to stay in post after year 2 then I would expect CL qualification. I hope that is the case but clearly there is the possibility that he doesn't achieve that. At which point, and with the likelihood of 200m having been spent, we would bring in a Mourinho/Guardiola type.
Does well, means having Everton compete strongly in every area. Cl qualification seems to be the benchmark, but if we finished a close 5th and
had long Cup runs I think that could be called doing well.

If he achieved that after two years it wouldn't be enough for you, apparently, but then we wouldn't be able to attract 'Mourinho types'.

If he did really well and got into the CL and won a cup or two, the question remains, why would we need to go after someone else?

yeh maybe.

I'd imagine RK will be announced today or tomorrow though - as in on the website etc.

And then the first presser next week, perhaps with the DoF as well as a joint presser

Aye i tend to feel this is the way it will be done, announcement and brief interview on the site etc, next week after he returns and with a new DoF they do a join first public presser together, If i was trying to make the biggest statement i could make as a new owner and show a clear direction the club is moving on then can't think of a better way to do it than that, especially as a lot of DoF/Manager combos seem magnets for press to sow rumours of discontent etc so doing it that way shows them as a team working together etc, makres a pretty bold and clear statement if they do that
