Interesting Sky is running this in their piece saying its going to get announced today (I know I know, in a hour it'll be changed to 24 hours then 48 hours the massive biffs)

"There were also reports that Southampton were trying to insert a clause into the deal that would see Everton unable to go for any of the Saints' players were Koeman to take over at Goodison, but Sky Sports News HQ understands that has never been part of the negotiations."

Wonder if he will go back for any of his trusted men... not arsed if he doesn't purely because they will charge a premium and a half they have utterly raped the RS for moola the last few years.

What if he just puts all his medals down on the table that @Nymzee just mentioned and then says this is how you win things? While a highlights video of all of his goals is played in the background?

Koeman is a Superstar in football, there is no chance people start off treating him like Moyes got treated at United, no chance whatsoever. When he speaks people will listen. Sure over time it may sour but straight away he'll command instant respect because of his prior achievements.

And given what he has achieved in football, there is no way you can say he isn't a winner.

You know what, that's exactly what he should do! I've won all these - so drop the attitudes about "I'm worthy of a CL team" and all that rubbish - get out there and do your talking on the pitch ;)

Ron will get a great reception at our first home game, have a tingle already.

Yep, looking forward to that already. Blimey, going into a season with a positive attitude. What's all that about?

As a manager no, but he can give the players the belief based on his experiences as a player.

I mean who would you rather have giving you instructions, some kinda talented holding midfielder from league one who became a manager, or someone who has won it all as a player, played at the highest level with the best around.

I know if i was Barkley, Stones and others who i would listen too, and who would motivate me more.

Aye that's what I mean by well respected. He isn't some no mark manager he is someone to be admired off his playing days. He isn't that bad as a manager either which is fortunate for us now also.

Player achievements are different to managerial ones. That's like saying Maradona should be hired by all the top clubs because he won loads as a player.

As i said he is well respected, which is different. Players want to play under him because he is Ronald koeman, nit because by joining him they will win the league.
