Despite the buoyancy on here last night with the possibility of Monchi joining, and our new found wealth, I went to bed last night more confused than before about when an announcement might be expected.
"In the next 24 hours" sounds a bit like a broken record now.
I can appreciate if they are trying to tie up Monchi first before making a big splash announcement, but it seems to me that unless they are a long way down the road in negotiations with Monchi, then that is one which will drag into next week, so a combined announcement might not come until Monday.
Personally, I just think it would be better to announce Koeman, we can bask in the security of that and look forward to a DoF next week or beyond.
I'm glad the Euros are starting tomorrow, it will be a distraction and if we don't hear anything on Koeman by Friday afternoon, then there is no point looking for updates over the weekend.
