This whole manager thing has got my head cabbaged as well but there's not a lot we can do about it, except wait.

If they put him on gardening leave they would be shooting themselves in the foot, since they'd be after the same managers as we would and we've proven we're the more attractive prospect.

I just had a quick look - what's the suggestion? That we would pay compensation, sign Koeman as manager in the knowledge he's going on gardening leave?

Why would Koeman or any top manager sign a contract that contained a forced garden leave clause?

Surely it would all fall over in court anyway.

Come on lads lets get grip on reality here. If you put someone on gardening leave it effectively leaves you able to buy out the remainder of your contract. Therefore Soton would get even less for his last year of his contract than the reputed £5m. Aint gonna happen.
