Technically I suppose we do yes. Probably as much as so as you can afford to pay 3X what we p

When you are kept on the payroll but told to stay away from work. Quite common in business/finance.

Name me a time it's happened in football

So do you really think Southampton would do that

I appreciate you would technically but I'm thinking more the fact that you'd also be losing compensation. So you'd be down about £6-7m.

We'd love onto other targets too and we'd be in direct competition for a manager.

The only reason for you to do it would be to try and get one over on us. I keep hearing what a well run club you are so I really doubt that would be a good enough reason.

Hang on mate.

I've just looked at your posting history and at first you're clearly pretending to be a blue but now you're a Saints fan?

:bye:

So Southampton tell Koeman he can't take the Everton job and he has to go on on leave for a year 7

I'm sure that would stand up in court

I would think it would be unlikely as, like you say, the compo would pay for a couple of years of new manager. I suppose it comes down to the tone and mood of whats happened. If they feel like they have been duped, i could perhaps see why the board would act in this way, particularly if they think there would be issues with transfer targets etc.

Personally, I think we should just move on. We have never been set back by managerial changes in the past, and, without trying to be bitter, I don't think Koeman is that integral that we would be this time.
