Looking past the short term mock conflict between Saints and Everton, I'm looking forward to the coming season, and seeing what both teams do in the transfer window, and next season.

If Koeman does go, arguably you will have a good manager in place, but will need to re-invest heavily in your squad (easier said than done), where as we will have to get a good manager in, but have a good squad, with a few departures that will need replacing. Interesting dynamic.
I don't understand why you think our squad is rubbish compared to yours.

It's weird.

Evertons squad is better than Saints mate, just as Chelseas and Liverpool is although they finished below Saints. All you've had is a good manager who made you punch above your weight.

Keepr as robles
Errrrm, back 4 all internationals with 2 x England, Republic of Ireland and Argentina
Mirallas, Deulofeu and Lennon as wingers
centre Mid of McCarthy, Barry, Besic and Cleverley
Lukaku up front with ross behind

An academy which right now is producing some players that are gonna be top quality and far better than anything in the southampton pipeline - think youve sold all your up and coming youngsters to actually big teams not faux ones mate

so yeah right now with a competent manager our team is about a 6th calibre team, and thats even taking into account it has a few glaring holes - left winger, backup to rom and keeper and a genuine top quality centre mid. think 100-150m can fix that easy enough though, fix the 3-4 spots we need and its a top 4 calibre team.

Rather have the dynamic myself of a good manager comign into a underperforming squad and fixing a few gaps int hat squad, than a new manger coming into a overperforming squad and having to replace any player that any BIG team actually wants - as you will sell any single player that another team wants and root of a lot of the saints angts is that your fans - the sensible ons at leats know this to eb the case

I'll be interested to see how our squad does under a better manager, for me players like Mirallas, Deulofeu, Barkley, Besic, Baines, Coleman etc were criminally mismanaged and we should see a huge improvement with or without investment. We do need to be careful replacing any players that leave though.
I agree, you have a lot of potential in your squad, but behind Lukaku (if he stays) you haven't got many options, your well stocked in midfield, and your defence should be much better than it performs. However I still think if you want to be up there next season for Europe/ Champions league you need to strengthen, because you can't rely on Koeman to fix everything in one season.

You haven't got a bad squad, but my point is to match the ambition your board are showing, to take Everton back to the big time, it's not good enough at the moment. I'd argue our full strength XI is better than your full strength XI, even though it's fairly close.

Lol.

Lukaku
Barkley
Stones.

All valued at > 50 mil all < 24 years of age.

Now tell me you wouldn't exchange your whole squad for just those three players.

Add to that we have Jagielka, Baines, Coleman, Barry, McCarthy, Lennon, Deulafeu and a shedload of talented youngsters.
