You haven't got a bad squad, but my point is to match the ambition your board are showing, to take Everton back to the big time, it's not good enough at the moment. I'd argue our full strength XI is better than your full strength XI, even though it's fairly close.

Martinez should have delivered top 6 all day long with that squad last season, the fact that he didn't is the reason he's been lobbed in the skip.

We massively under achieved last season given the talent in our ranks, whereas Koeman got the best out of what he had available to him, which is inferior imo to what we have here. Which is probably the reason we've chosen to appoint him like....

I agree it's not perfect, but it's a better indicator than most. Over the course of 38 games last season, our squad managed to get the sixth highest point total, while we don't have the sixth best squad, we can't be a million miles away.

Ok so since you didn't adequately address this point I'll lay it out more plainly we managed with the same squad you're trying to downplay to not only get a higher points total than you could dream of but also a higher total than spurs this year which would make us 2nd. I understand all fans have bias but you sir are either an excellent angler or an idiot.

O and Mane and Tadic over Deulofeu or Mirallas is hilarious.
