On the basis that a load of kids were jumping up and down to have Martinez replaced when we narrowly lost away to City the other night - are we now saying Roberto should be getting a new contract on the back of hammering little Carlisle United this afternoon?

Surely it's exactly the same level of over-reaction?

Wednesday we lost a nail biter away against the best team in the country and today we walked over a lower league team having put out a strong 11?

I absolutely believe Roberto is the one chance of a manager that could allow us to bridge the gap to the Sky clubs. Some of the football we've played over the last couple of years has put into stark contrast how terrible Moyes was.

We need a bit of luck on the pitch and I will back Martinez to get the defence sorted over the summer.

Exactly right. It's all fickle nonsense.

An impressively professional job today. Division Two maybe. But they got a draw over 120 minutes with Liverpool earlier in the season at Anfield and would have been very motivated at home with all that's gone on in that town. We dealt with that (and their knuckle dragging racist fans) and are in the hat for Rd5. A win on Wednesday and we're up and off again with 14 games to go after that.

The mistake was made 2 and a half years ago, we hired a no mark manager who had just got his team relegated, we need to pick our next manager from the top shelf, a born winner, not somebody who fluked a cup once.

A man who puts win on his cornflakes.

We hired a manager who had just won the FA Cup against all odds, defeating a top 6 Everton side and the Champions at the time. Wigan produced magic in the Cup that year, and the man we hired was the magician behind it all.

Don't be daft mate. There is nothing childish about wanting to have more than six league wins by February, or wanting to avoid having the worst home defence in the entire division, or wanting to avoid being a side that goes a goal up in the 91st minute while feeling we have scored too early because you have no faith in them to hold on. His insistence on picking serial point dropper Howard is indefensible, and his record of 18 wins in 61 speaks for itself.

Robles instead if Howard probably results in 36 wins out of 61. Make the change Bobby. It may save you your job.
