I think Bergkamp will go with De Boer...a huge plus. Bergkamp mentioned in 2015 that he is not interested in being a manager and prefers to be an Assistant as he doesn't see himself as a manger.

I thought I would post this for those that haven't seen it. Its in dutch (which I understand a little of) but it give one an idea of what the spirit is between De Boer and his Staff/Team. :)

Around the 50sec mark...

Im not so clued up on emery other than rating his keeper.

but whats he actually achieved in the league? Also he was a disaster in russia....could be juat a stable league manager decent in the cups?
Although he's only 44 he's been a manager for 10 years. His first job was with Lorca who he got promoted to Spanish 2nd division for their first time ever, then got them a record points total the following year missing out on promotion by 5 points. He then moved to Almeira got them promoted for the first time to the 1st division.

He then got the Valencia job at time they were in financial problems, got them to sixth despite this, then next three years finished third in league. Then the job in Russia which didn't work out.

With Sevilla two fifth place finishes and two Europa league wins. He's always had to sell his best players at Valencia and Sevilla. He's worked with some cracking players in David Silva, Juan Mata, David Villa amongst others. He's a very good manager.

Brilliant. You can just imagine him singing to that same tune at our 2022 end of season awards after we've won our 4th title in a row.

"Oumar Niasse, Oumar Niasse....."

Its just a speculation thread.

We do currently have a manager.

I agree...although I am hoping that some of the managers mentioned on here might be in contention for a new managers position at some stage. I would have loved for things to work out for our current manager but I am not very hopeful at the moment due to a lot of reasons mentioned on here already. maybe we can dream a bit and maybe one day those dreams might become reality :)

De Boer as manager is as much of a risk as Michael Laudrup was for Swansea. Great to start with wasn't he? Lots of blues wishing he had come here..

Then what?... Oh yeah, he was [Poor language removed].

Great player. Not a great manager. They do not go hand in hand.

De Boer is a HUGE no from me.

Howard Kendall was a great player and a great manager.Martinez was a middle of the road lower league journey man of a player and is a fairly mediocre manager.
