I am not so sure about that.
He managed Liverpool for a few years but is hardly a lifelong supporter.
Everton have a lot of talented players...underperforming but talented. It also looks as if there will be a substantial budget available for new players as well.

Don't agree mate he would come but that's my opinion

Jose first choice for me and then koeman, seville's managers done an fantastic job but his english might be a issue.

If Newcastle can attract a manager with a CV like Benitez we should be setting our sights high too. Manuel Pelligrini has stated that he wants to stay in the Premier League, his stoicism and cold dead eyes are probably what we need.

We should be an appealing club for managers seeking work and a challenge.

I've said it before in this thread. From the horses mouth he will never manage Everton.

His 2 spells in England put me off him myself . But I don't think he was in charge of bringing in the players so maybe that hindered him at Spurs and Chelsea.

From friends who follow Zenit, think i have cooled massively on getting AVB in, when your own fans don't like you and are hapy your going even though you've been succesful it's not a good sign at all

Seems to not be very well liked at any club by the fans, and in some cases (Chelsea and Spurs) the players, not what we need right now, we need someone who can kick arses and who the players say thank you for getting those kicks, Mourinho would do that, but after last night god knows why he'd come here

Jesus that article is so badly written it's untrue.

For excample on Bilic - "An unlikely option, but one which would please Evertonians no end. Bilic remains a legend at Goodison Park after his playing days"

Could have fooled me, can't stand the bloke and don't know any evertonian who regards him as a legend thats for sure

Funny isn't it. Sean Dyche too! lol

Aye basically just one of numerous Everton articles today i have seen which the 'source' of the article is the current betting odds, not joking either - read about 5 which use 'ladbrokes' betting odds as the source for why martinez could be sacked this week lol

Short-term..ie for Saturday..I'd bring Royle in just to give teamtalk and motivate players..nobody better and he knows Everton inside out...nothing to lose doing that

For the rest of the season it doesn't really matter...put Dunc/Unsy in as caretaker to see this abortion of a season out..then it's time for the new man(Moshiri) to show us what ambition he has and bring in someone worthy of taking this club forward.
Who? No idea..but not another easy-fit...find a winner ffs

A big name manager would probably go the same way as Samuel Etoo.

No point getting a big name just to temporarily appease fans.

Get the best man for the job.
