Are you suggesting City would refuse to spend money?

Nah more the fact that Guardiola maybe earmarked someone to come in who wasn't available so they went with Aguerro/Bony and the young lad who maybe Pelligrini wanted to be able to get some time for this season - which if he signed another then it wouldn't have happened

Who knows really mate, all managers make a strange decision or two, look at Chelsea and their reliance on Costa

My targets in order would be:

1. Mourinho
2. De Boer
3. Koeman
4. Pellegrini
5. Cocu (only because I know nothing about him)

Mourinho 1st if he we can get him,
for me Pellegrini next,
ya man at Savilla.
Koeman , I like the fact he is a hard [Poor language removed].
Vitor Pereria or one other. Maybe De Boer.

Either way all of the above are a lot better then we've had since Royle and Harvey.

Pellegrini is a strange one.
Even though he has won a title and silverware at City he has never been truly convincing, whereas at previous clubs whereas he won nothing at Villareal but was impressive.

If we are bringing in an elder statesman as manager then I would like to see his successor come in at the same time as assistant. Or if you are going to give the job to a younger unproven manager then I would like somebody like Pellegrini as general manager for a few years to help the younger man to settle in.

My own preference is a manager probably aged 45-55 who is at the peak of their powers. I think Benitez ticks a lot of the boxes of the kind of manager we want.

If Mourinho isn't a ption, then Pelligrini in for 3-4 years for me would be ideal, by the time he finished the clubs fortunes both on and off the field will IF Moshiri lives up to the promise be in a massively improved state which will make getting any younger succesor in a whole lot easier and maybe then the likes of a Simeone etc would be more than viable for us

Why mate why? You think it's bad now imagine if he took over, seriously, think about it.

The small time managers who get linked with Everton does my head in when are we going to go balls out and put the media back in it,s box.
Merson yesterday "Just because you have money does,nt mean you will spend it" - he,s right. It,s up to the new shareholder to show his planning to everyone otherwise we will be linked with the bottom of the barrel.

Martinez has only lost two more games than Pellegrini

You could look at it that way. Or you could say they are 4th and in the semi's of the champions cup. I think so, anyway if I'm wrong Everton wikipedia will set me straight within minutes. Which is a good thing by the way...Anyway good to see we're all looking forward to the future.
