My dog would've signed De Bruyne if he had the money. Look at the players he has uncovered, not the world class stars he's simply moved across the continent with more money being offered. Pellegrini is not the right manager for us I think. Would prefer Favre, Emery, De Boer, or Jose.

Was a direct response to Zat asking about how each of his signings had gone at City mate so obviously unles si have missed something teams like City, Chelsea, United, Madrid dont tend to sign unknown players for buttons who become superstars within 2 seasons really do they?

As your asking about what players he has uncovered though will copy from my earlier post today

Bought Joaquim when he was 30 for 2.5m for Malaga
Bought Toulalan for 7m when he was 27 for Malaga
Bought Monreal when he was 25 for 4m for Malaga

Brought an 18yo Cazorla up from the academy into the Villareal team
Bought a 21 yo camacho for Malaga from Athletico for 1m
Bought a 19yo Isco from valancia for 2.5m
Signed Rodriguez for Villareal from river for a nominal fee, was a starter at cb for that villareal CL team that knocked us out at the age of 20

Bought Riquelme from Barca having loaned him for two seasons for 6m at Villareal
Bought Forlan from United for 2m - a player who have been labelled a huge bust for his time at United, 1st seaosn at Villareal he won the spanish top scorer and european golden boot
Bought Senna for 400k - as someone who still played in Brazil at 26 - that was an amazing purchase

Honestly mate thats just going through a couple of lists of the malaga and vilalreal teams he put togetehr, anyone with any doubt he can't operate and find great talent without having real madrid like money doesnt understand his history and some of the players he has turned into stars from busts at other teams

How does that compare with your favourites for the job in favre, Emery or De Boer then?

So in short @Aar_the_Toffees , he uncovered Riquelme, Forlan and Senna for a grand total of less than 9m
Signed Isco for 2.5m
Signed two excpetionally good young players in Rodriguez and camacho for about 1.5m
Spotted the talent and brought him into the first team at 18 of Cazorla

and has a track record of countless players bought from the likes of Las Palmas, Celta and tenerife who became mainstays in the Villareal and Malaga sides and cost less than we paid for McGeady

1 does not simply forget Jose Mourinho.

Till we see him next to the United tree or with PSGs contract, erm, non... no, anyway, until he signs for somebody else, THERES STILL A CHANCE, im gonna cling onto that 1% for as long as I can!

This, really. If he hasn't been snapped up by someone already there might be a chance to get in before either of them, neither of which are that appealing a job (PSG are in a joke league, United a poisoned chalice where at least half the board do not want him). Both would spend far more than we would, but if he wants to achieve something neither of them offers the same potential.

Didn't he work under the Spanish system with directors of football responsible for purchasing players?

None of us know whether he had any input into those signings at all or if it were someone at the clubs.

Actually after reading all that I'd be satisfied with Pellgrini- not my first choice but certainly not one to complain about. Let's see, for Favre:

At Gladbach he is credited for the rise of Reus, Ter Stegen, and Kramer. He has signed Max Kruse, Rafael too- also credited with the rise of Hermann.

As for Emery, Sevilla doesn't have very good finances, so his signings are very impressive indeed. Here's the main ones:

Krychowiak- 4.84 mil
Banega- 2.2 mil
Aleix Vidal- 2.64 mil
Beto- 1.8 mil
Vitolo- 2.8 mil
Bacca- 6 mil

Not to mention selling off Negredo and Navas.

Both these managers are not only good at spotting bargains, but also very good at utilizing the youth system. It's been a long time since we've had a manager who can get the best from his players.

Emery is a two time EL winner. Favre hasn't won too much, but you can say that he was almost solely responsible for the rise of a fallen giant. And I can't stress this enough- Favre's Gladbach last season did the double over Pep Guardiola's Bayern Munich team.

nice reply mate, Emery i know a fair bit about and rate him a lot, favre honestly know little about although been readin up on him the last couple of days and sounds an interesting manager for sure

I think confidence in the manager's defensive organisation would be huge for the team psychologically. As a contrast to Martinez that is. Last season Favre's Gladbach let in the fourth least goals of any club in the top 3 leagues. Just sayin.

What do you think of Fabio Capello?
He is watching the Swansea game today, perhaps he's having a look at Leicester as we play them in a couple of weeks.
His club league record has to be one of the best of any manager in world football. I really wouldn't care if lennon/Barry or baines felt he had been a bit too strict with them. This team needs someone with discipline. I seem to remember he'd retired from club management though.

Was an utter joke when he took over the Russian national side, alienated some of the best and most talented players and had them playing absolutely horrible and negative football to watch
