Love people saying they'd prefer pellegrini over Mourinho like we actually have a choice lmao. Mourinho is pure fantasy.
I can't believe some fans think we could get Mourinho, it like saying we could get messi, Mourinho is so far out of our league at this point in time, but in a few years time he might not be.

I won't pretend to know prospective managers look at this sort of thing, but this can't hurt the job's appeal:

-Fair bit of money available (Moshiri's wallet plus the sadly inevitable big-money departure or two)
-Squad flexibility (Howard, Hibbert, Osman, Pienaar and Gibson gone, plus the inevitable departure)
-Promising youth players (Barkley and Stones of course, but also Galloway, Tarashaj, Holgate, Dowell etc etc)

It won't be hard to shape and build out a new squad, both for next season and beyond.

lol
Wow... Imagine Stam as a defensive coach and Bergkamp as the attacking coach. Imagine Stones being taught by Stam and Barkley by Bergkamp. De Boer is not bad either

and van der sar as keeper coach...

we are gunna end up with the premiership winning RICKY DELIA ,, yes the scottish premiership, he's a born winner. can hear big bill whispering it in moshiri's ear... and he's FREE out of contract.

EXCLUSIVE: Everton draw up shortlist of replacements for under-fire boss Roberto Martinez
ROBERTO MARTINEZ is a dead man walking at Everton, who have already drawn up a shortlist of names to replace him.

By Paul Brown

Manuel Pellegrini, Frank de Boer and Ronald Koeman are all on a list of potential successors to the Spaniard.

Former Marseille boss Marcelo Bielsa is also understood to be interested in the job and has told friends he expects to manage in the Premier League next season.

But David Moyes is not currently being considered for a return to Goodison Park.

Martinez has endured a disastrous week as Everton followed up their Mersey derby thrashing by Liverpool with an FA Cup semi final defeat to Manchester United.

But it is understood the list of possible replacements was put together before Saturday’s 2-1 defeat at Wembley.

Frustration with Martinez has been growing in recent weeks at board level as well as in the stands.

New investor Farhad Moshiri made his feelings clear in a meeting with Martinez and chairman Bill Kenwright after the goalless draw with Crystal Palace on April 13.

While the axe might come sooner, Martinez could survive until the end of the season with his exit being held up in part due to contractual issues.

But the former Wigan boss sounded like a man who knew his time was up after the defeat at Wembley.

Asked if he was fighting for his future, Martinez said: “We are a big club. You don’t expect it any other way.

“If I had been given 10 years to work with Everton by being mediocre I would not accept that.

“We are a big club with big expectations and we have not won silverware for 21 years.

“I just want to believe with the work I have done for the last three years there are signs there that we are getting close to challenging for silverware, where Everton should be.

“There are signs in the three years I could have earned the opportunity to drive the club forward and I am sure we can fulfil our expectations and fulfil the dreams of every Evertonian. I am very much attached to it.”
