Would be happy with Koeman. Think he's done a good job at Southampton having had to sell his best players 2 years in a row. They play good football and always look up for it against the bigger sides. I think he's got potential to be a top manager, been there and done everything as a player too.

Still undecided as to keep martinez, tbh.

But if anyone, then Eddie Howe. Only thing that makes me wary is if he'd have the ability to draw top players here.

Scary first line - like the sentiment of the 2nd. Emerging British Manager - ideally behind a headline manager for a bit whilst he learns the ropes. Why have we got no internal candidates up there?

Yup - for me they don't wanna stick around too long though. But you rightly point out Koeman has done a great job in the revolving door there once Pochettino f0oked orrf.

Why are our ex stars who had the right calibre on the pitch never mentioned? Unsworth, Ferguson, Neville etc. If we don't trust them with the future of the club - why give them the U21's?

I' be really interested in seeing one of these guys step up - maybe in an assistant role for 2-3 years behind a 'marquee' signing like Koeman, De Boer or a Mourinho (say what you like, he they can all defend and we can't).

That way we develop the contacts and expertise of the club but develop longevity and a guy that can be with us 10 years like Moyes and bump up our avg league position 6-7 places. From where RM picked us up and began, that would rightly have this squad in CL.

Hopefully we're aiming higher than Watford's cast off manager mate!!

Understand that. Just on balance to Flores though, a bad run this year has masked the fact he inherited the squad in the summer, re-jigged and made them safe with a 'semi', too (snigger). That's unreal in terms of what Watford would have taken in August. Football, that.

Plus he made some cracking signings as well

Because we want the best? And to win something?

De Boer still interests me the most. He's my preferred option. Wouldn't be disappointed with any on the "shortlist" to be honest, Pellegrini or Koeman I'd be content with.
