David Moyes is now into 7/2 to be the next Everton manager.

I just want a winner mate.

Somebody who knows how to win titles, somebody who knows how to win cups, somebody that can build a squad and get them to compete.

Clearly it will take time to challenge for a title, so somebody with staying power, somebody who knows the value of youth players and knows how to coach them.

So currently FDB ticks all those boxes, but I mean im not gonna pretend im an expert on the fella, just from the looking round the web he seems to tick all those boxes.

Theres a few I would be happy with, Pellegrini is not high on my list, but that doesnt mean I would object as strongly as I did Martinez.

Out of interest. What's your view on how much of a gamble he would be? My issue with him is I think he could be equally likely to be a roaring success (raise his game step up from Eredevisie to Prem with panache) or a total and utter flop (the flaws in his Ajax tenure become totally untenable at Everton).

Just spoke to another non Everton fan about who we could potentially get. In his view we have no chance of getting someone of the calibre of Pellegrini and should be looking at someone like Sean Dyche. His belief is that Dyche is about the best we could attract. He also added that he thought 11th would be a reasonable league finish for us.

I don't agree with him but it is an eye opener to see how other fans view us.

I'll add that the guy I was speaking to is a Liverpool fan but he has a fairly balanced view when it comes to football so I do respect his opinion.

The fat United fan I sit near utterly hates Martinez (not sure why) and also despises Van Gaal. Anyway, he reckons someone like Pellegrini would be perfect for us or De Boer but there's a risk with anyone.

He's certain that United will appoint Giggs in the summer too. Which he is not happy about.

I don't know why people keep on posting what non Everton fans think as if it's of any importance.

well you should stop respecting it, because he is a clueless tit

Guud Hiddink/Pellegrini with a young manager like Howe to work with him for a couple of seasons to learn the trade from managers who have been at the very top.

Maybe, just maybe Martinez will be allowed to stay if he is prepared to work with an older statesman as mentioned above .
I would not rule out such a move completely.

Let's be honest, this would never happen in a million years.

Howe is a premier league manager in his own right, why would he take up such a role?

As for Martinez I don't even want him here as a toffee lady. He's done enough damage.
