not for me. I think we need a manager who is going to be here for 5-6 seasons not a stop gap manager and van gaal is getting on now.

Really don't want Koeman for some reason, seems to do a decent job but wouldn't put
him in the same bracket as De Boer.

I dont either, same with Howe, who is not even close to being experienced enough, those two with Mark Hughes are all settled with clubs anyway so we can forget trying to get a manager to do a sideways step.

Not that I want moyes back but even if he came back he is coming back a pretty desperate man from the man who left,

Let's remember he left in the media and in other teams players eyes as this up and coming strong manager who worked wonders at Everton and even someone who commanded respect which seemed to work on new players coming in and because he worked so well so early in he built an aura around him of someone going places and someone not to cross.

The problem with bringing Moyes back is his aura has gone he has been shown up at United and sociedad and from other clubs who have seemingly not employed him.
You think he will command respect of players now like he used to no chance?

AVB- too defensive, would make Moyes' teams look like free flowing attacking sides.
De Boer - Massive risk coming from a minor league
Pelligrini - Massively underachieved with City and their defence is almost as bad as ours and their 1st choice back 4 prob cost well over £100m

I tweeted Paddy Power last night for odds on Favre and they offered me 20/1

I would take those odds

in regards to AVB, you would complain about defensive football after what we have now? lol

I think a lot of fans (not directed at you in any way shape or form mate) seem to be too picky in who will be our new manager. Considering we haven't in our history taken a top manager on or anywhere near it then we shouldn't be demanding this manager or that because any will be better than what we have been getting.

If you get what i mean? We all have a wish list of managers who we want, which vary fan to fan. But (again not you lol )i have seen the odd poster on here turn their nose up at certain mentions of managers as if we are too good to take them etc, which right now is clearly not the case.

anyway, what is favre up to these days?

AVB seems to have this ultra defensive, almost boring reputation. His results this season don't bear that out though. Plenty of 3, 4 and 5 goal games.

The thing I want most from any new manager is a winning, ruthless attitude. I want him to let the players know that when they're 3-0 up against Villa, that they should go for the wounded animal's throat and hit them for 7 or 8. We've been the nice guys for far too long, and I'm sick of it. I want our next captain giving it all that in the refs face, and players going down and staying down to get opposition players booked. That's the state of the modern game, sod being the gentlemen.

I would go with De Boer give him 5yrs then let him move on to Barcelona ( that's if everything goes to plan) but who knows. They will all be a gamble you can't expect success as a given, but anyone would be an improvement over Roberto..

Spot on there mate kicking the ball out every time someone goes down, the good guys always finish 2nd.
Ruthless is what were not but what we should be.

We haven't taken a top manager because we haven't had the power of the financial backing and the subsequent potential/ambition/drive that comes with it
