The pool of managers is available at the moment is fairly small, as I can't see us spend out loads on compo to get say Southampton for, Koeman. That's why Pellegrini is a good shout as he will be out of a job at the end of the season, I think he would be good for say 3 years, but as others have said it would be great to have a manager for 5/6 seasons but I think them days might be gone. None of the higher end managers would do that long nowadays, you would then be looking at the Eddie Howe's of this world, and it's not really the right time for us to go for an up and coming manager, we need one who will get us off the ground straight away, Martinez is dragging us to a transitional time which is wrong, we should be there or there about now not in 2 years time. Martinez has failed us big time.

Never been kicked out but had to leave Chesterfield's old Saltergate ground because I'd eaten dodgy fish and chips and was vomming everywhere.

You have to look at a manager's whole picture. Looking at our club we do have a lot of younger players on the fringe of breaking through. I have voted for Pelligrini but I don't know his background in developing youth before he came to England. So I am now veering away. Mourinho is the obvious choice if you want to invest loads of money and also give the club a massive global appeal which we do really need. Of the candidates above I don't know a lot about them giving youth a chance but DeBoer must do it at Ajax. Also I want to put this out there if Mourinho does go to Utd. What would people think if we went for Van Gaal. He has a history of developing young players. Has been fairly successful wherever he has went. I know he has spent loads at Utd but IMO whoever came after Fergie was always on a losing streak.

I think Van Gaal isn't cut out for the premier league mate tbh. He has been succesful elsewhere but given an open cheque book at united and the tactics just don't work well enough. Plus united would be in crisis if it wasn't for the younger players having to get chances.

:rant::rant:Been on holiday these past 3 weeks so have missed most of the moaning and groaning on here and the other site.
IMO we will have no say in what happens to Bobby....it's all too little to late.
Should have built up a head of steam about 3 weeks ago.
The board and Bill K hold the fans in utter contempt.
For the first time in about 23 years I did not renew my season ticket for this season...only been to Goodison for 3 games,I cannot face it anymore till Martinez goes.
We are now at the stage where it's "put up or shut up" that's why they ain't,t sacked him yet, they know we will not give them too much aggro...not the Everton way,is it.
Do you think the redshite would put up with this treatment...they would have put a match to Analfield by now.
That's the Kopite way.lol

I was really impressed with Benfica - saw them live and on tele against Bayern. Technically very good with excellent pressing. I'd love us to play like that. I'm up for giving their manager the job as long as he can bring Sanches and Gaitan.
