That Spanish Cup was with Valencia and a side that he took over from Quique Sanchez Flores - during that season they went from being fourth (when QSF was sacked at the end of November) to fifteenth and two points off the drop by late April when they had to sack him or they would have gone down. This was a team that had Villa, Mata, Silva, Marchena, Raul Albiol and Banega in it, by the way.

I would be very worried if he ended up being the new manager.
It looks like a blip though considering the rest of his record

Serious question guys why is their such a love fest for Frank De Boer? He took over the biggest club in Holland after they game second in the league the season before. He won four titles on a row which of course is no easy feat regardless of who you're managing but it's the only club he's been manager of and has no experience in England.

I'm not going to pretend I'm an expert on Dutch football or know much on De Boers tactics or style but the fact he's only managed his boyhood club who's the biggest club in league does concern me.

Faltered quite heavily in Europe too.

Swerve.

I've been drawing up my managerial shortlist today, if anyone's interested?
  1. Gary Megson (Unattached)
  2. Steve Evans (Leeds United)
  3. Alan Pardew (Crystal Palace)
  4. Brendan Rodgers (Unattached)
  5. Alan Curbishley (Unattached)
  6. Felix Magath (Unattached)
  7. Tim Sherwood (Unattached)
  8. Paul Ince (Unattached)
  9. Joe Carver (Unattached)
  10. Ian Dowie (Unattached)
  11. Steve Wigley (Unattached)
Cheers.

I may be wrong but I feel like if he was a no mark player and not an absolute legend then there would be less fanfare.

.....just noticed more support on Oddschecker for AVB. 40-1 with BetVictor a few days ago, he's now in to 5-1 and there's money with other companies too. Interesting.

Why would odds drop like that? I don't really get the market. No rumours or anything about AVB?
