Think the only real downside to Garcia would be he has no experience of managing (or even playing?) in the UK or Prem.

Not vital I know but does help.

It's why Flores is still my first (realistic) choice should RM go.
He worked with John Toshack so I guess he speaks language at least :)

Yeah I can imagine him leaving Dortmund who are second in the Bundesliga to come here.

Get a grip.

As for who we could realistically get I'd think someone like Emery would be superb but even that would be stretching it on the get-ability stakes.

1. The German league is [Poor language removed]
2. We could easily treble his wages
3. Everton arnt we.......(-;}

My shortlist is something like:
1 Rudi Garcia
2 Vilas-Boas
3 Hiddink
4 De Boer

All affordable propably.

Vincenzo Montella, looks like a good manager. Maybe untested in the Premiership and therefore would give some concerns about the type of player he would buy.

Because everything he said about Deulofeu is entirely true and accurate, that's why Lennon is being selected ahead of him. Are you really saying that you would turn down the stewardship of Unai Emery at Everton just because it might hurt Deulofeu's feelings? If it was a choice between the two, then I know which one I would pick, and it wouldn't be the midfielder that is atrocious at defending.

uick question, has martinez basically benched Deulofeu in favour of Lennon due to lennon working harder and putting in far more of a defensive effort?

Exactly the cirticsm levelled at Deulofeu by Emery

Find it interesting that your ommitting the fact that MArtinez has effectively not used del since january now

I wouldn't particularly use something that Martinez is currently doing as a yard stick tbh, seeing as it appears the majority of our fanbase want him gone.

Lennon is currently ahead of Deulofeu no doubt, but I just think Deulofeu has that much potential it would be daft to do something that could see him leave / not progress. Probably could go into much more in a thread for Geri, but he has 11 assists (some ridiculously good quality too) and 4 goals this season whilst not playing the first 5 or last 5 games pretty much. Needs to improve certain things no doubt, but he's the type of player we should indulge a bit, and if that meant not going for Emery, personally I would side with Deulofeu.

There really aren't that many managers about that would do a worse job than Martinez with this squad. Just get anyone in.

Not that it's possible to find out, but I did wonder if any other manager in the prem would have us as low as 12th right now with the squad we've got.

That Garde seems poor but then again he's working with absolute plop, Lescott and Richards are barely even turning up every week so it's unfair to judge the manager really.

McClaren is pants so maybe he'd have us down in 12th. New Swansea manager seems OK but bit of an unknown quantity.

So that's 3 I reckon might, and I stress might have us in 12th or lower. All the rest I'm confident we'd be top half.

McClaren's the only one I think. Garde did ok back in France and as you say is working with absolute dross and I'm not even going to pretend that I know anything about Swansea's manager. He beat us at Goodison, though everyone does.
