Exactly our next appointment is likely to be one of our biggest and most important decisions in recent years. I'd rather top up what we pay Martinez, rough estimation 60k p/w to 200k p/w an extra £7m per year and get an absolute top manager. On a 3 year contract that would only be at the expense of one £20m pound player.

Also I'd rather pay a manager more than maybe upsetting whatever team spirit we have left by adding 1 or 2 players on twice as much as the next biggest earner.

We need to show ambition and we should do that from the top, then work our way down.
