1st July... ;)
I would be concerned if we left it that late. It should be done by the middle of June at the latest. A lot to be done. Even if the person chosen could not officially take up the job until 1st July, it could and should still be confirmed before then. We have all seen the impact of too much uncertainty at Everton in the last few weeks.

There's more chance of Tony Hibbert becoming manager than Mourinho.

I'd take Koeman or Pellegrini if either was possible.
I disagree mate.

We need to lose the 'Everton would have no chance' mentality.

Who'd have said Lukaku would sign for us?

Anything is possible. I'm not saying it's a done thing obviously, but it's a possibility, and less remote than you'd think.

Mourinho has been busy telling the world his thoughts in the last 48 hours. He wants to go to United it seems. We would be very much the fallback option, if at all for him, I think, stating the bloody obvious. I don't see why he would declare he would have a club by 30 June when he could be at Everton much sooner. We could do a deal with him in the coming week if he wanted it and we wanted it.
Would like to see him here of course, despite some misgivings, but we should not roll over either, particularly if it is apparent we are no more than a pawn in his game. He will join United still I think, both sides are just playing hard to get.

I'm not sure if there was irony in your post, but Martinez was the least defensively minded person there is apart from utter lunatics.

So any improvement defensively sure must be a positive?
Near the end there we were playing a flat back seven at some stages and still holes everywhere. Godbless the next side that gets him.

De Boer with his coaches can have a long term positive effect on the club

Koeman can squadbuild and improve us long term that way.

Mourinhio would improve our public standings media wise

Pellegrini highly experienced

I'm abstaining from voting, just can't decide. Obviously would love Mourinho(minus his bellendery antics), but can't let myself believe it's realistic.

Happy to let it play out this time and trust the new Chairmen.

EDIT - clicked other by accident and can't change it. Low it is then lol
